At the border between Tuscany and Liguria, the lands of Ortonovo and Castelnuovo Magra in Lunigiana, extend from the hills that precede the Apuan Alps to the Ligurian Sea. Here Luni is located, a Roman city very rich and with shining marble, that dazzled the barbarians down from the Alps, making them believe that they had reached Rome.

Cantine Lunae sinks its millenary roots in the history of this land and these people, from whom is has inherited the tradition of a great wine. Probably the Etruscans, or perhaps the Ligurians and then the Romans cultivated vines in the beautiful surroundings of Luni, the city of the moon (Luna).
