Tenuta San Rocco

The San Rocco farm extends for about 57 hectares, of which 20% is devoted to the cultivation of the vine. The varieties of grapes that are present are Sangiovese, Merlot, Petit Verdot, red berry varieties and the inevitable characteristic Grechetto di Todi. The annual production is around forty thousand bottles a year.

Consorzio di Tutela Dei Vini di Torgiano

In 1999, almost the totality of the producers of Torgiano joined in a Consortium for the main purpose of the Protection and Development of the wines of the whole territory of Torgiano in order to continue the constant pursuit of quality by all manufacturers of Torgiano DOC and DOCG wines.



Although it has been created recently, the Consortium has already marked and in some cases continued important works of research including a review of the disciplinary of Torgiano DOC and DOCG culminated with the presentation to the Ministry of the amendment request. Among the activities of the Consortium, beyond protection and enhancement of the entire Torgiano territory, the participation in events of great importance to the sector such as Vinitaly is included, giving to companies another chance to show their technical and professional abilities.




It is important to consider that the Consortium is broadly representative (85% for the DOC and 100% for the DOCG). Currently the consortium, in relation to protection and enhancement, has implemented a system of requirements which are to all the members of the supply chain of the Torgiano DOC and DOCG, validated by the Ministerial Decrees 1st and 2nd December 2003 by which it is conferred by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry the task to perform the control functions provided by the Decree of 29th May 2001, in respect of all producers (vinegrowers, winemakers and bottlers) who intend to claim the above mentioned designation of origin.



The Consortium for the Protection of the Torgiano wine, therefore, sets the goal of becoming in time a real sentry in defense of the territory of the designation, even through a close collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, the Region of Umbria, and the office of fraud repression. All this with the primary goal of ensuring the final consumer the typicality and the quality of the wine of Torgiano.

Consorzio Tutela Vini Colli Martani

The Consortium of Protection of the Colli Martani Wines was formed in 2001 to unite, in a single body, the wine growing and the wine culture of the area, taking advantage of the age–old tradition of Umbria. The Consortium brings together producers and the best wineries, representing 80% of the surface of the protected products of the Colli Martani DOC.

This land of excellence for the production of Sangiovese, Trebbiano and Grechetto, a native vine, probably of Etruscan origin. To protect, enhance and promote the DOC wine production of the area, is the task that the law assigns to us and the goal that we want to achieve. Wine of excellence of the Colli Martani D.O.C. is Grechetto, of which already Pliny the Elder in the first century. A.D. extolled the qualities.

Obtained from the grape variety of Greek origin of the same name, it found in our area the ideal conditions for growing and spreading. From the perfect ripening of the grapes, nicely structured wines derive, elegant and of great personality.

Consorzio Tutela Vini Colli Del Trasimeno

Consorzio per la Tutela dei Vini Orvieto DOC

The Orvieto Wines Consortium, an association founded with the aim of protecting the quality and image of "Vino Orvieto", was established in 1958 as "Consorzio del Vino Tipico di Orvieto", and has become "Consorzio Tutela Vino Orvieto" in 1971, the year of recognition of the Designation of Controlled Origin Orvieto.



In 1998 the Doc Rosso Orvietano was founded, which overlaps geographically to the DOC Orvieto in the province of Terni, with the aim to diversify productions within the same wine–growing area and create a synergy between the two wines to better address markets. Also in this context, in effect, the Orvieto Wines Consortium protects also the Doc Rosso Orvietano.



The activity of the Consortium is to promote the improvement of the quality of production, through various experiments in the field of agronomy that achieves both its own vineyards than on the members’ vineyards, where new varieties are compared with native ones. Continuing in the oenological field, research focuses on the sensory characteristics that can express an increasingly attractive Orvieto wine and in line with the evolution of consumers’ taste.

Consorzio Tutela Vini Montefalco

Since 1981 the producers of Montefalco have come together in a Consortium of Protection, which has the task of coordinating the businesses in the area and to lead them in the pursuit of quality and enhancement of the wines of their territory.

It is of 2001 the "re–foundation" of this Consortium, necessary to respond to the new requirements of the current regulations. The need of this regulatory adjustment was seized upon to make a general check and reset the job.



The new Consortium boasts, in effect, a representativeness superior to 82%, as regards the certified production of Sagrantino di Montefalco and Montefalco Rosso: this confers to it an authoritativeness that no other structure can boast relatively to the area represented by it.

The social base is in effect largely expanded enjoying the presence of prestigious companies, renowed both in the area and therefore operating already for many years, and the result of investments of large groups or of producers of international fame, who have decided to make substantial investments in the most promising designation of the emerging Umbria region.



The objective of consolidating the notoriety gained by the wines of Montefalco (especially in recent years), through the constant improvement of the quality not only of Sagrantino, but of all the wines produced in the area, is shared with conviction not only by the "historical" producers of the area, but also by companies resulting from the most recent investments. This is the true strength of this territory and what the Consortium protects: a common awareness that only by continuing to grow qualitatively you can achieve satisfactory results for everyone.
