S.Lucia agricultural company in Faulle, where Castello dei Rampolla wine is produced, is located in the valley that extends south of Panzano. In 1964, Alceo di Napoli devoted himself to the modern rational viticulture.
The first vinifications began in 1970, the first bottlings with the harvest of 1975.
The company is now run by Maurizia and Luca di Napoli Rampolla with the collaboration of permanent and seasonal workers. The vineyards are 42, currently not entirely in production, that cover an area that is mainly calcareous, with a little presence of clays and very stony. The exposure of the vineyards is to south–east, south–west. The altitude ranges from 380 m to 280 m. The grape varieties currently grown in the company are: sangiovese, cabernet, sauvignon, merlot, petit verdot, traminer, sauvignon blanc, chardonnay and malvasia.
The bond that unites Tommaso Cavalli to his land, has its roots in an authentic passion, established in over more than thirty years of dedicated work, along with his father Roberto, a project which is called "seal of the gods", owned by the family since the early 70s. A reality that finds precise geographic coordinates in San Leolino at Panzano in Chianti. The nature of the territory makes that the breeding of trotting horses finds here the ideal environment for the harmonious growth of foals. Here, also vineyards are planted, in the valley of the Conca d’Oro, an area with high wine vocation thanks to the excellent sun exposure and the composition of the soil.
