Celebrated for its hot sunny climate, historic monuments and rich culinary tradition, Sicily has been producing rich flavored and full-bodied wines since Greek and Roman times. Well known for its warm Mediterranean climate, hot sun, intense sun-light, and fertile soil, Sicily has blossomed into one of the world's most promising wine regions.
Arancio cultivates its own grapes in two large estates along the windy south coast of the island. A total of 1,700 acres of estate vineyards are planted in single varietal fields in order to offer 100% single varietal wines to the final consumer.
Arancio's new state-of-the-art facilities are utilized to take full advantage of what this bountiful land has to offer. A new generation of talented and passionate Sicilian winemarkers and vineyard managers produce Arancio wines that are consistent representations of Sicilian and International varietals grown in the hot Sicilian climate. Arancio wines are well reviewed by all major international magazines, year after year.

Cummo Vini

Cummo – Casa Vinicola Sicania born by a young entrepreneur, Diego Maurizio Cummo, who inherited the family winemaking heritage accumulated under the guidance of his paternal grandfather.
Today vinification takes place with respect for family tradition together with the use of modern technology: the crushing soft that at the time of his grandfather was executed with presses/manual systems, now takes place with the use of soft presses to avoid that high temperature damage the product. The harvesting is done at night when the temperature is around 22/25ºC; the fermentation take place at controlled temperature by refrigerating in underground tanks, doing so will keep the perfume and aromas. The process of vinification is to be followed by a oenologist who is at the place as well from a team outside that is entrusted with the analysis of wine.

Casa Vinicola Morreale

The Morreale company is situated at the foot of Mount Caltafaraci. The high quality of the wines is due to the systems of vine training and low yields per hectare, which allow a conscientious exploitation of grapes.

Villa Grisa

The company Villa Grisa, was born in Sambuca di Sicilia where he followed the work of about 30 hectares of vineyards compound for about 40% Nero d'Avola and the remainder divided between Grillo, Inzolia, Chardonnay, Merlot and Syrah to a lesser extent.
The vineyards are situated at an altitude ranging from 350 to 500 meters above sea level, about ten kilometers from the sea, from which comes a constant breeze that keeps the grapes kept dry thus avoiding the formation of mold. The proximity to Lake Arancio makes the vineyards not stressin about the lack of water in periods of drought.

D'Alessandro

The company is young and at the conquest of international markets, which appreciate the labels it produces. The estate has forty–eight hectares of land planted with vines: from their grapes, well made and of good quality wines are produced.

Cantine Barbera

The vineyards of the Barbera wineries are maritime, absorb salt from the air and the soil, turning it into a vibrant sapid flavor. There are vineyards that enjoy mild and breezy winters and warm and dry summers, with important variations between day and night. Berries of grapes are very sweet and salty, with the scent of the Sicilian sun and the cool Mediterranean breeze.

Viticoltori Associati is one of the oldest cooperative wineries in the region of Sicily: today it has nearly five hundred members, and owns a thousand hectares dedicated to the cultivation of the vine. Its current vinification systems are among the most modern.
