Terre Rosse is one of the most important wine realities in Western Liguria, on the Mànie upland, in the hinterland of Savona between Finale and Noli. The author of its success is Vladimiro Galluzzo, serious winemaker who in 1985 took over the family company investing on quality. In 1990 the building of a new winery, combined with the restoration of vineyards, gave rise to an ascent in terms of image immediately rewarded. One of the bets launched was the production of Solitario, an important red wine from grenache, barbera and rossese grapes. The faith for white wines remains, particularly for Pigato and Vermentino. The wines offered are evidence of success tied to the will and passion of a character that has become a point of reference. In the winery Vladimiro is supported by the Oenologist Giuliano No. Over four hectares of owned vineyards, for a total of 30,000 bottles produced.

A meticulous recovery of old vineyards located around the wine cellar at the foot of the Perti rock sets out in the Eighties. Some of them had even been explanted and replaced by other cultures.
Cultivation is made more diffcult by the typical terraces, “fasce” as they are called by the locals, which host no more than two or three rows of vine each, but allow a better sun exposition compared to flat lands. Besides, in night time they enjoy the heat released by the stones which make up the walls.
The species of grape which have been planted in the years are mainly Vermentino and Pigato, the two d.o.c. whites from western Liguria. Grafts derived from the traditional “cultivar” of this area have been used.
