Cantina Giardino is a small family-owned winery that produces organic and biodynamic wine using traditional and natural winemaking techniques. They focus on preserving ancient grape varieties that are native to the region and cultivating them in their vineyards. Their wines are known for their unique flavor profile and terroir-driven characteristics that tell the story of the land and the people who craft them.

Mastroberardino

This unique Riserva del Taurasi celebrates the 130th anniversary from the inscription of the Mastroberardino company to the Chamber of Commerce of Avellino. It was 1878 when the Knight of the Order of the Crown of Italy Angelo Mastroberardino, great grandfather of the current President, Professor Piero Mastroberardino, dealt with this requirement in order to start to export its wines to the countries of Europe and

of the Americas. The Mastroberardino family protected and disseminated the great wine values of the Irpinia territory since then, uninterrupted: Taurasi accompanied this compelling entrepreneurial story, as evidenced by the collection of nearly a century of bottles collected and stored in the caveau of the family, an extraordinary ambassador of the viticulture of Irpinia in the world.

The Aglianico grape has been able to bring out its best in this land, standing out thanks to its character, longevity, elegance, at the top of the oenology in the world.

This exclusive edition of Riserva del Taurasi comes from the 1999 vintage, which in the light of the facts established itself as the most interesting in terms of quality performance in recent decades.



The label of Taurasi Riserva Centotrenta depicts the faces of the three members who marked, with their professional and human contribution, the history of these 130 years.

Vadiaperti

The enhancement of indigenous grapes, the imperative of Antonio and Raffaele Troisi, and the central position of the company located in Montefredane, on the border between two of the most important designations of origin of Campania, pushed in 1989 to produce also the other DOC wine of the province of Avellino, the GRECO DI TUFO, from own grapes grown on the slopes of Montefusco at more than 600 meters above sea level.

In the early 90s, while continuing the process of enhancing of the typicality of the varietal grapes and wines, linked to the territory, Antonio and Raffaele found out in the Coda di Volpe "cultivar", particularly widespread in the province of Avellino, no longer a blending grape, as required by the product specification of Greco di Tufo, but a grape variety from which a IGT wine worthy to have its own bottle and label. Then, the selections in limited quantity came, the Greco di Tufo "Vigna Federico II" and Fiano di Avellino "Vigna Arechi", from long aging in bottle, with organoleptic and physico–chemical features of considerable quality to be enjoyed after a few years.

Tenuta Sarno 1860

In a single site, a single vineyard, with a single type of grapes, a unique product is produced. A courageous choice, that of Maura Sarno, to grow in a single site a vineyard with only Fiano, which for her means authentic expression of the territory.

Candida, an ancient village in the province of Avellino, is located 600 meters above sea level. In a calcareous clay soil, the vines benefit from cool nights and mild summers, tolerating well the winter snow. The subsoil in spring returns to the roots heat and moisture, favoring in this way the minerality and the water supply to the vines. In winter, a great pruning is done in order to limit the amount of clusters on vines for the benefit of quality. In summer, leaf removal and pruning let grapes to be aired ensuring their perfect exposure to the sun.



The harvest takes place in full technological, phenolic and aromatic maturity, more or less in mid–October and is made strictly by hand to avoid grapes every kind of stress. The mashing of the grapes follows immediately, with a pneumatic press in closed cage. The soft pressure allows to obtain a must rich in varietal aromas. The aging of 6 months on fine lees contributes to complexity and minerality, making the finish very long.



The vinification (First Vinification: 2009) is entrusted to the oenologist Vincenzo Mercurio, who gave to this Fiano a vibrant and delicate style. The choice of a consultant with the talent and the mentality of Mercurio reflects the need for deep roots in the territory.

Cantine Fontenovella of Avellino were founded in 2002 thanks to the passion of the oenologist Francesco Giugliano for wine production.
After years of experience as a consultant, Francesco combined his professional activities to his own production, in which he transferred the taste and wisdom inherited from the long experience of his father Michele.

Mont’Antico was founded in 2004 thanks to the wine–making expert Raffaele Noviello. The company is located in Irpinia, an area renowned for its fine vineyards and its wine products.

Rocca dell'Angelo

Rocca dell’Angelo was founded in 2003 by the will of a close–knit family with a passion for wine. The secret of the production are the controls, which begin in the vineyard and continue in the wine cellar, where grapes are manually selected and vinified using traditional systems. The company stands out from the mass production, focusing on quality wines that astonish your palate.

Le Masciare

Respect for its surroundings and a limited production of high-quality products. That's what characterizes Le Masciare Estate. Since our foundation we have been amply rewarded for our approach, having won many awards from Slow Food, Gambero Rosso, Extra Bio and others, as well as having a strong presence in the most representative wine guides.

We make a range of exceptional wines, from our 'house red' Barbassano , and 'house white' Coda di Volpe (to come out in the spring of 2014), to our Campi Taurasini DOC, made from a selection of powerful Aglianico grapes, as well as all three DOCG wines of the south of Italy; Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo (both white) and our 'Riserva' red wine Taurasi, which has at least three years of maturation of which two in oak. Furthermore, we produce two types of organic extra-virgin olive oils; Ravece and Marinese, which rank among the best in the country.
