The Pomaia company enhances hospitality to amplify the story of its winemaking style. Five itineraries for visits and tastings for the summer and winter seasons.

For this purpose, the company has developed various itineraries ranging from the picnic on the panoramic terrace in the center of the Campo al Pino vineyard to the tour of the barrel cellar, up to the tasting in the floral garden overlooking the owned vineyards.
"The value of work is nourished by sharing - explains Gianni Moscardini -, for this reason we have also chosen to take care of hospitality. In fact, tastings in the cellar allow us to create a direct line with the public, which is essential for communicating effective and genuine our history, the oenological approach and the passion that distinguish us”.
From 2008 to today Gianni Moscardini, agronomist and consultant for various companies, has translated the passion for wine and the long family agricultural tradition into a personal project aimed at reinterpreting the traditional concept of distribution area . His studies have focused, in particular, on the relationship between soil, rootstock and variety in search of the perfect symbiosis, whether it be autochthonous, international or typical vines from other Italian regions. "We communicate all this immersed in the colours, scents and flavors of our land - continues the owner -, a still little-known place in Tuscany, guardian of wine, gastronomic and naturalistic wonders which, once known, are never forgotten".
Guests can touch Gianni Moscardini's agronomic and oenological style and the uniqueness of the Pomaia plateau territory with open-air itineraries during the summer and itineraries designed for the harvest and winter periods.
The company has created five tasting formulas but, at the same time, welcomes guests' requests if they prefer a personalized visit, based on their tastes and needs.
The Autochthonous Northern Maremma route can take place in the floral garden overlooking the plateau or in the barrique cellar and includes the tasting of Penteo Rosato (100% cherry tree), Sileno Ciliegiolo (100% cherry tree) and Sileno Sangiovese (100% Sangiovese). For those who want to understand how time, the approach to work and the vigneron's research influence the production style, we recommend Evolution of monovarietals , a vertical of three vintages to choose from Sileno Merlot (100% merlot), Sileno Ciliegiolo and Sileno Sangiovese . Not only autochthonous is a challenge to the traditional concept of area through a selection of wines from autochthonous and typical varieties of other Italian regions, with Penteo Vermentino (85% Vermentino, 15% Fiano), Artume (85% Fiano, 15% Vermentino) and Pentheus Rosato . Supertuscan , on the other hand, includes wines that are rebellious by vocation, which differ from the Tuscan production disciplinary by including typical vines from other production areas in the blends. The proposal includes the tasting of the entire Terroir line, namely Artume , Atteone (100% cabernet franc) and Operaundici (50% Sangiovese, 25% Teroldego, 25% Ciliegiolo), to be enjoyed after a walk through the vineyard and cellar. Finally, the terrace overlooking the vineyard is the most evocative experience, with three wines chosen by the participants, without any limitation, to be tasted on the platform in the center of the Campo al Pino plot, where you can enjoy a 360° view of the vineyards and the 'plateau.
The wines are offered in combination with some local gastronomic specialties, including Tuscan crostini stuffed with cherry tomatoes, oil, chicken livers or mushrooms, depending on the season, typical cold cuts and Tuscan cantuccini biscuits .

Gianni Moscardini
The winery was founded in 2008 in Pomaia, a fraction of the municipality of Santa Luce (PI) located in Alta Maremma, with headquarters in the historic family property, dedicated to the cultivation of cereals and olives for over a hundred years. Gianni, an agronomist and consultant for various wineries, converts the crops to vineyards to produce quality wine. The company has 15.5 hectares of vineyards on six plots distributed above and along the sides of the Pomaia plateau. The area is characterized by three different types of soil – calcareous, stony and clayey – arranged in parallel bands that never intersect. The particular conformation favors a precise parcelling which is reflected in the Gianni Moscardini production, characterized by the search for the perfect combination of soil, rootstock and variety. The result is refined wines with an unmistakable personality, organized into three lines: Selezione , Monovarietals and the most prestigious Terroir , which includes the iconic wines of the company Artume and Atteone .
