Trentino, towards autumn it's time to toast

After the torrid August, Vallagarina and the entire province of Trento await thousands of visitors for three events which, under the banner of tastings and walks, tastings, events and guided tours, will close the summer and let food & wine lovers discover the wonders of the grape harvest and foliage season.

Appointment with Uva e Dintorni, La Vigna Excellent and DiVin Ottobre

In Trentino every season is tempting: all year round the area offers many reasons to go in search of a tourist, food and wine, historical and cultural heritage that is definitely worth the trip. Certainly the end of summer and autumn are no exception, par excellence the season of wine, harvests and tastings, outings immersed in the changing colors of the vineyards and woods and inviting snacks with the many local specialities.

So get ready to immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of three events which, between September and October, will attract the large public of wine, food and nature enthusiasts.

From 1 to 3 September, a dive into the Middle Ages in Sabbionara di Avio with Uva and its surroundings

We start from Vallagarina with the 22nd edition of the end-of-summer festival which celebrates the grape harvest and takes place in alternate years in Avio and in the hamlet of Sabbionara di Avio , dominated by the Fai heritage castle. The objective of Uva e Dintorni, organized by the homonymous committee in collaboration with the municipality of Avio, is to enhance the wine products and the history of the place . There will be three days in which visitors will be able to follow a busy calendar of food and wine events and more, in a suggestive atmosphere with a medieval imprint among musicians, shows and juggling. There will be guided tours of the vineyards and wine tastings with musical accompaniment, gastronomic courts, shows, the craft market and visits to historic homes. The key event will once again be the Palio delle Botti between the Cities of Wine which, to date, sees the ranking dominated by the Avio team.

From 7 to 10 September in Isera spotlight on La Vigna Excellent

With “The Excellent Vineyard. And it's immediately Isera” we move to another City of Wine, Isera , a very dynamic center of Vallagarina: here the great protagonist will be Marzemino , a gentle red wine symbol of the territory and one of the testimonial vines of Trentino. An event that for the 2023 edition will once again host the award for the best Marzemino vineyard , a unique recognition in Italy and in Europe that rewards winemakers every two years who, with their hard work, build and embellish the suggestive landscape, attractive and hospitable for those who live in it or pass through it. The elegant red berried wine will be the focus of special visits and tastings, but there will also be space for musical tastings, dawn concerts, journeys through the vineyards on a small train, panoramic trekking and guided tours of the gardens and historic buildings of Isera.

It closes in style with the itinerant DiVin October

The event that takes us into autumn is an event scheduled every weekend in October in various locations in Trentino . In this ideal tour of the province, the basic objective is to offer a varied calendar of opportunities and events. A tantalizing menu that includes walks, aperitifs, guided tastings, visits to the cellars and vineyards after the harvest has just ended. The producers will show visitors all the secrets of their business and their wines. Nature lovers will be able to choose between slow walks through the woods and vineyards, trekking and e-bike tours to admire all the nuances of the foliage, as well as aperitifs, food and wine workshops, themed dinners and much more.

The three events are organized thanks to the support of Trentino Marketing and the coordination of the Strada del Vino e dei Sapori del Trentino, as part of the promotion of the provincial wine events called #trentinowinefest .
