If the picnic has become a summer trend, there are very few proposals that are characterized by being "a kilometer home". That is from the land of the farm directly to the basket. The news comes from the Terre Giunchi farm in the hills of Cesena in Romagna with the Imbrunire format.

Among the first at national level to give birth to the Educational Farm project (in the mid-90s), she decided to honor the 25 years of the organic conversion of the company and the 60 years of the olive groves , proposing a project of a very short supply chain , from the field at the table, which includes fruit and vegetables, wine from the cellar, oil from the olive groves, craft beer with the brand born from the collaboration with a micro brewery in Piavola, some products of local food artisans.

"Ours is an all-round agricultural project - explains Enrico Giunchi at the helm of the company that bears his surname - Three are the axes that characterize us: the productive one in the 80 hectare farm converted to organic for 25 years ago when few believed it; the commercial one with products and wines of our production at zero km, transformed and under the Terre Giunchi brand; the experiential one, to let you experience the atmosphere of life in the countryside in a special way, an excellent antidote to the frenzy of daily".

It is from this premise was born Dusk, picnic among the olive trees at the setting of the day. The magic of the place combined with the quality gastronomic proposal make the evening a life experience to be savored in company. The event scheduled every Wednesday in summer on the soft notes of a DJ set alternating with live music, includes a basket with a welcome drink, after which dinner is served under the olive trees set up with mats, cushions and mo 'cassettes. of laid tables. And finally, cocktail proposals served in a characteristic vintage caravan transformed into a bar.

In the ' Dusk world' particular attention is paid to the theme of environmental sustainability and the agricultural tradition of the territory, with reusable iron baskets, similar to those of the grandmothers of the past, while the packaging and disposable tableware are provided in compostable materials , to be disposed of together with the organic waste in the compost bin, in one year fertilizer for the organic farm. The lighting of the olive trees also goes in this direction, which has replaced traditional light bulbs with a thousand low-impact LED lights in terms of consumption.

Preparing the food proposals is the kitchen of La Cantineria , the other novelty for 2021 by Terre Giunchi. "A little cellar, a little tavern: these are the two souls that characterize us - continues Enrico - On the one hand our branded wines produced in the eleven hectares of vineyards in Rio Marano and in the surrounding hills with the Sangiovese Riserva, superior and IGP, Trebbiano and Albana dry and passito, on the other the tavern with its proposals characterized by the seasonality of the products. To this we add a further rather special ingredient: the panorama of cypresses, vines, olive groves and orchards lying on the first hills of Cesena ".

Of Rushes Terre group also includes the farmhouse Agricola home-kitchen-studio, in the nearby hills of Rio Hermitage, housed in a typical farmhouse in the Romagna, opened in 2015. And yet the Farm School, among the first nationwide to take life, in the mid-90s. Its heart is the farmhouse that preserves the wood oven, and is a real small museum of peasant civilization. The farm houses an indoor classroom, an outdoor green space with a small artificial lake, while children and schoolchildren can move among chickens, ducks, rabbits, geese, donkeys, horses and goats, and get to know life in the countryside up close.
