On Wednesday 17 April, from 10.30 to 12.00, in the Sala Madrid of the nhow Milano, in the heart of the Tortona Design District, we will discuss accessible hospitality and inclusive design in the hotel industry together with the Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanch and, to institutions and authoritative representatives of trade bodies and associations.
DI OGNUNO , the project dedicated to accessible hospitality by Hospitality-Il Salone dell'Accoglienza, the international event of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, leader in Italy in the hotel and restaurant sector, will be on display from 15 to 20 April at the nhow hotel in Milan , as part of the Fuorisalone of Milan Design Week 2024.
Developed and conceived by Hospitality together with Village for all - V4A, the first Italian accessible hospitality network, and Lombardini22 , leader in the Italian architecture and engineering scenario, DI OGNUNO tells how to design hospitality with the Universal Design matrix , with beautiful and usable spaces for everyone : through three experiential paths of inclusive reception design, the visitor will be able to see the darkness, move the space, listen to the silence and will be immersed in the real needs of people with disabilities. The installation will allow us to fully understand the needs and opportunities related to accessibility, because accessible tourism is a relevant market. In fact, according to WHO data, 15% of the world's population has some form of disability that determines "accessibility needs". Furthermore, it should be considered that people with disabilities often do not travel alone.
To raise awareness among entrepreneurs, architects and designers on the topic and to reflect on the importance of raising the standards of inclusiveness in the hotel industry, Hospitality organized a moment of discussion with the Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè, the institutions and authoritative representatives of bodies and associations of category.

After the introductory greetings from Roberto Pellegrini , President of Riva del Garda Fierecongress i, organizing body of Hospitality – Il Salone dell'Accoglienza , the meeting will be opened by the Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè.
The dialogue between the different guests will not only allow us to understand the reference market and illustrate how the aging of the population affects tourist demand, but also to understand how making the structures more accessible can create new business opportunities. The debate will continue with the presentation of case histories for accommodation and concrete examples to be put into practice during major events such as the upcoming Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics.
