Cocchi Savoy Hanky Panky: a tribute to one of the signature cocktails of the American Bar at London's Savoy Hotel.

Created in the early 1900s by Ada “Coley” Coleman, the first woman to hold the role of head bartender at the American Bar, in honor of the actor Charles Hawtrey, the Hanky Panky remains an icon of the Savoy’s mixology art and is internationally recognized as a pillar of classic mixology.

For the first time, the cocktail will be celebrated globally with World Hanky Panky Day , taking place on March 25, 2026.

The Cocchi x Savoy Hanky Panky is made with Cocchi Vermouth di Torino, Cocchi Dopo Teatro, Cocchi Barolo Chinato, Cygnet 22 Gin, and Fernet-Branca. The recipe was created by the former American Bar bar team and is now offered under the guidance of the Savoy's Head of Bars, Markus Basset . The cocktail is pre-batched and served chilled at the table in a custom, engraved bottle designed by Cocchi and inspired by the American Bar's distinctive motif.

The team chose to enhance three different Cocchi expressions to build a layered and balanced aromatic profile: Vermouth Amaro Dopo Teatro , which provides structure and notes of black cherry and dark chocolate; Storico Vermouth di Torino , which brings harmony with hints of candied orange and exotic spices; Barolo Chinato , which provides depth, elegant woody nuances and a delicate smoky hint.

The Cocchi x Savoy Hanky Panky is available exclusively at The Savoy Hotel and is currently featured on the new cocktail list at the American Bar.

The collaboration is part of a long-standing partnership between Cocchi and the Savoy, which also led to the creation of Cocchi Savoy Dry Vermouth di Torino, now in its third year in 2025 and available in the hotel's bars.

To mark its 135th anniversary and the launch of its signature cocktail, Cocchi will invite its international partners to discover and taste Hanky Panky in London.
