ITALY SUPPLY CHAIN: APPLICABLE AND COMMON SENSE PROTECTIVE MEASURES AND LOST FUNDING OR SERIOUS DOMINO EFFECT FOR THE WHOLE ITALIAN AGRI-FOOD SUPPLY CHAIN ".

The catering sector brought together in the #FareRete project raises its voice clearly distancing itself from the news that is bouncing on all media. Equally devoid of logic appear the too drastic restrictive measures envisaged for the ventilation and air conditioning systems; or the hypotheses of attributing direct responsibility to the owner of the premises in relation to the individual behavior of third parties within the activity are clearly unjust.

" If these news published in the press found correspondence in the guidelines issued, they would result in the permanent closure of more than 80% of the premises in our country . We consider it crazy and meaningless even to hypothesize measures of this magnitude that confirm the little knowledge of the sector and the logic that governs it. There is no more time, measures pertinent to the existing reality are urgently needed. We ask the Government to consult us before issuing the new provisions , involving representatives of the catering at the decision-making table ".

"A few hours after the enactment of the Law Decree, we also reiterate the need for non-repayable financing measures, specifically intended for catering and tied to the purchase of Italian food products . Only in the presence of these resources, the horeca will be in able to regain its role, that of economic leverage, essential, for the agri-food chain, necessary for the restart of the whole country "- reiterates Gianluca De Cristofaro speaking on behalf of the #FareRete project.

This is the voice of the 29 associative realities (more than 100,000 associates) of the #FareRete project.

An appeal supported by Filiera Italia whose managing director Luigi Scordamaglia recalls how " The persistence of the closure of the restaurant channel is causing a domino effect on the entire Italian agri-food chain with production collapses of up to 40% in the wine sector, 45% of typical cheeses and 35% of the most valuable cured meats, placing serious parts of the 3.6 million workers in the entire chain at serious occupational risk ". Restarting the restaurant immediately with strict but applicable rules that do not close 80% of Italian restaurants anyway is the appeal of the Foundation that brings together the best of Italian agri-food.
