From October 3 to 5, 2025, Menfi will transform into an open-air stage for the 27th edition of Inycon, western Sicily's longest-running event dedicated to quality wine and food. Three days of celebrations highlight the region's excellent wines, olive oils, food, and culture, in an event that has established itself as one of the most anticipated and defining events of the Sicilian autumn. "Inycon is more than just a wine and food festival ," says Menfi Mayor Vito Antonio Clemente, " it's a true community event, combining tradition, modernity, and culture. The 27th edition is particularly significant because it is part of the process that has seen Sicily recognized as the European Region of Gastronomy 2025 and also celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Menfi DOC, a designation that looks firmly to the future."
Inycon 2025 strengthens the recognition of Sicily as the European Region of Gastronomy 2025 , promoted by the Regional Department of Agriculture, together with the Municipality of Menfi , the Inycon Foundation , Sistema Vino , Futuris , the local wineries and the entire local community, which has always been the custodian and promoter of the food and wine heritage of the Belìce Valley.
Guided tastings, masterclasses, and meetings with experts will accompany visitors on a journey through thirty years of the Menfi DOC, thanks to presentations by Armando Castagno and Matteo Gallello , who will recount the past and present of the wines bearing the denomination from the Barbera, Mandrarossa, and Planeta wineries. A further opportunity for discussion will be the conference scheduled for Saturday, October 4th, entitled " Towards the Consortium for the Protection of the Menfi DOC ." Wine will also dialogue with cuisine, thanks to the presence of chefs from the Regional Union of Sicilian Chefs and local chefs who will interpret dishes that blend sea and land, thanks also to the valorization of local fish and the project promoted by the Department of Mediterranean Fisheries. Among those present is Tony Lo Coco , chef of the Michelin-starred restaurant I Pupi in Bagheria and president of La Sicilia di Ulisse , who will conclude the cooking demonstrations in the square on Sunday, October 5th.

Promoting these excellences means strengthening the identity and economy of our region, always with an eye on innovation and sustainability ."
Among the celebratory moments is the twinning with the City of Imperia , an initiative born to strengthen dialogue and cooperation between two entities united by shared values, visions, and commitments, including environmental protection and a focus on responsible tourism. This initiative is now a focal point for local businesses and a natural evolution of the work carried out by the Menfi community, Cantine Settesoli, and other agricultural and entrepreneurial businesses. Among the new initiatives is the " Olio su Terra " project and the participation of the Menfi Olive Oil Community , with tastings, talks, and opportunities for discussion, including the participation of journalist Luigi Caricato .
" Thanks to wine, the Menfi area has created a strong identity, which today also encompasses olive oil, gastronomy, and, of course, an increasingly quality-oriented tourism ," emphasizes Francesca Planeta, president of the Inycon Foundation. "Inycon 2025 is the result of teamwork involving institutions, associations, and production communities, to create a broad, high-quality program where guests will always be the protagonists, engaging in a rich array of experiences that Menfi offers year-round ."
New to this edition is the opening of Villa Varvaro , a historic residence in the heart of Menfi, which will host literary meetings, theatrical performances, presentations, and musical events, thanks to the collaboration with the Isola Plurale association, committed to rediscovering Mediterranean identity. Even the littlest ones will be protagonists, with educational workshops, animated readings, masterclasses, and activities designed to introduce the new generations to the culture of food and the region. In the evening, there will be theatrical performances, live music, and entertainment with Sasà Salvaggio (Friday, October 3), I Quaranta che ballano 90 (Saturday, October 4), and the grand finale on Sunday, October 5 with the show " PHYSIS ," conceived and directed by Giusy Di Blasi .

Every day, the Food and Wine Village offers exhibitions and tastings of excellent food and wine products, the Expo Village showcases local and Sicilian artisanal products, and traditional and cultural offerings, as well as a Wine Bar and courtyards.
