Autochtona 2021: with Green Pass to access the tasting counter of the best native wines

From the most well-known and widespread vines along the boot, standard-bearers of internationally known denominations, to those linked only to small areas, often saved from extinction thanks to the dedication and commitment of young vignerons. On 18 and 19 October at Fiera Bolzano , during the 18th edition of Autochtona , the richest and most articulated tasting bench dedicated to native vines will welcome enthusiasts and professionals from all over Italy in total safety. To access the fair, as well as the exhibition space dedicated to Autochtona, it will be necessary to have the Green Pass to be presented at the entrance in digital or paper form.

For two days all the wines that took part in the Autochtona Award , the prizes awarded to the best Italian native wines by a prestigious jury made up of Italian and foreign professionals, will be tasted by sector operators and enthusiasts within a wide range of tasting counter. There are many types of wine present - white, rosé, red, sparkling, dessert wines - and, novelty of this new edition, also a focus dedicated to Ancestral Wines and Orange Wines .

"It will be an unmissable edition for all lovers of wines made from native Italian vines" - explains Thomas Mur , Director of Fiera Bolzano. - "Autochtona returns this year to be the traditional stage, unique of its kind, for the many Italian producers who want to make known and enhance their work of safeguarding and protecting a heritage, that represented by the native Italian vines, which has not equal in the world. From North to South, ranging from many types of wine, including the most original ones and which have their roots in ancient practices, such as Ancestral Wines or "orange wines", in Bolzano it will be possible to taste a range of autochthonous wines very representative of the biodiversity present in Italy ".

A rich program of 11 masterclasses over four days will complete Autochtona's offer, with the aim of providing the public with food for thought and analysis on a theme, that of native vines, constantly in turmoil and always full of news. "All shades of pink: rosé a fashion that never sets" , "The indigenous in sparkling wine: there is life beyond chardonnay and pinot noir" , "Calabria: a heritage of indigenous vines to be discovered" are some of the titles of a calendar of meetings that is being completed in these days and that will be conducted by professional experts and journalists from the world of wine.

The Autochtona tasting counter, managed by the sommeliers of the Italian Sommelier Association - South Tyrol section, will be open to the public both Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 October, within specific time slots: from 10.00 to 16.00 for operators of the sector, from 16.00 to 18.00 for fans. To access it, it is necessary to purchase the ticket exclusively online , in order to avoid gatherings at the cash desks, and to be in possession, either in digital or paper form, of the Green Pass.

Autochtona is organized by Fiera Bolzano and will take place concurrently with Hotel, an international fair dedicated to catering and hôtellerie scheduled until 21 October.
