“The Little Girl Who Had Patience” – A Fairytale, Wine, and Local Encounter at Cantina Moros

At the heart of the meeting was the presentation of the Griko fairy tale “The little girl who carried patience” , published by Esterno Notte , accompanied by contributions from the authors Fabrizio Lecce, Margherita Macrì and Mattia Manco and an illustrated performance by Paola Rollo .

Treasures come in many shapes, as large as castles or as small as a seed, and often, finding them doesn't require a map or a trip to a remote island. Some treasures come to us on the road, others we can uncover in fields or in words. Our fortune lies in recognizing their richness and knowing how to pass it on. Like a language. Like a story. Like biodiversity.

In "The Little Girl Who Brought Patience" , a Griko fairy tale published by Esterno Notte, the protagonist knows the time of waiting, and knows that everything grows if you give it a kind look.

On May 15th at 6:30 pm , Cantina Moros will open its doors to a meeting designed for adults and children, in collaboration with the Negroamaro and Terre d'Arneo Library of Guagnano as part of the 'La Biblioteca Fuori Di Sé' project and the Municipality of Guagnano and its Department of Culture.

After the opening remarks, authors Fabrizio Lecce, Margherita Macrì, and Mattia Manco will present their work "The Little Girl Who Brought Patience," accompanied by a performance by illustrator Paola Rollo.

A cross-cutting event combining storytelling, listening, and tasting, including a gift of a planting kit for the little ones: dwarf peas to plant, as a symbolic gesture tied to time, care, and growth.

During the event: a tasting of Masseria Surani wines produced by the winery, paired with ancient Zollino legumes from producer Antonio Calò , prepared by L'Orecchietta .

An experience that combines stories, territory, and conviviality.

The event is part of the program of 𝑰𝒍 𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒈𝒊𝒐 𝒅𝒆𝒊 𝑳𝒊𝒃𝒓𝒊 2026, the national campaign promoted by the Center for Books and Reading, which celebrates reading as a space for growth, imagination, and participation.
