The greatest wine connoisseurs, from all over the world, will gather in Bari to take part in the only one great event that pays tribute to the native grape varieties of southern Italy, already arrived in its tenth edition.



In effect, from 9th to 15th June, "Radici del Sud" will host more than thirty national and international experts called to assess the evolution of the varied wine production that in recent years has been able to win the attention of a wide audience of enthusiasts careful to grasp the fine details and the peculiar nuances. From Austria, Sweden, Great Britain, the USA, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Poland and Brazil, as well as from our country, will make up the jury that will decide to enact the best results in the various categories of membership (drawn up according to the grape variety of origin of the wines) and will participate in the press tours scheduled during the event useful to study directly in the production places and in wineries the significant backstory where the activities that contribute to winemaking take place. Producers who participate in "Radici del Sud" will have the precious opportunity to entrust to the most accredited disseminators of good wine, recognized for their great experience, skills and specific sensitivity, the important message of deep understanding of their wines to be spread all over the world. In the ranks of the distinguished guests of "Radici del Sud" 2015, two Master of Wine: Debra Meiburg from Hong Kong and the Englishwoman Susan Hulme. Another worldwide famous name: the blogger Alfonso Cevola from the US, attentive connoisseur and lover of Italian wine culture. Below is the list, still provisional, of the industry experts who have already confirmed their presence, to which other qualified wine buyers, journalists and influential connoisseurs will be added:
Debra Meiburg MW, Hong Kong Master of Wine, American–born, television and press journalist, Debra Meiburg is one of the most influential voices of the wine critic in the whole Asia and among the top experts in the Chinese market. Vinitaly International Award 2012

Susan Hulme MW, UK, Master of Wine and a member of the Master of Wine Institute Event Committee. Director of "Vintuition Limited", international judge, panelist for Decanter and consultant of buyers and importers.

Alfonso Cevola, USA, well–known American journalist of Italian origin and a specialist of Italian wines ("the Italian Wine Guy"), his blog "On the wine trail in Italy" (http://www.acevola.blogspot.it/) has many thousands of readers. He received in 2013 the Vinitaly International Award 2013. He collaborates with various newspapers including "The Dallas Morning News" and "The Well Fed Network".

Matthew Waldin, UK, freelance journalist. Expert in organic and biodynamic wines. Contributor to "Decanter" and other newspapers.

Steffen Maus, Germany, one of the leading German experts of Italian wines and among the most prolific authors. His book "Italiens Weinwelten" is a best–seller. Former collaborator of the Gault Millau guide for Germany, he collaborates with several newspapers and its website steffenmaus.com is largely dedicated to Italian wines.

Richard Baudains, UK, has been dealing with wine for 20 years. Contributor to "Decanter" and other newspapers and teacher of training courses.
