Countdown to Preview Chianti Lovers & Rosso Morellino: over 400 labels for tasting. 120 companies present at the Fortezza da Basso on 12 February

Less than a month from the event scheduled for February 12th , the Consorzio Vino Chianti and the Consorzio Morellino di Scansano DOCG begin to reveal the first details of the intense program: over 400 labels offered for tasting, half of which will be new vintages offered in preview by more than 120 companies.

Also for 2023 "Chianti Lovers & Rosso Morellino' will be concentrated in a single day of tastings in which several areas will be set up, including the tasting room, reserved for accredited journalists, and the exhibition area with tasting counters in the presence of the producers.

"We arrive at this edition of Chianti Lovers and Rosso Morellino as a denomination that is increasingly perceived among those of reference for Tuscan wine, declares Bernardo Guicciardini Calamai , president of the Morellino di Scansano DOCG Consortium. We register a growing consumer satisfaction index , which has led to consolidating the positioning of Morellino di Scansano also on the Ho.Re.Ca channel.
At the tasting tables of the Fortezza da Basso we will present the previews of the Vintage 2022 and Riserva 2020 types to sector operators, the press and enthusiasts, showcasing, with over 100 labels, the territorial nuances in the different interpretations of the Sangiovese that overlooks the sea".

"We approach this eighth edition of the Preview with great enthusiasm - comments the president of the Chianti Wine Consortium, Giovanni Busi - because we will present our Chianti Lovers with two truly special vintages. Chianti 2022 and Chianti Riserva 2020, in fact, are two products of excellent quality and as a Consortium, alongside the producers, we are very proud to be able to share them with our most loyal public. This Preview will be a day of celebration for us".

The initiative is organized and promoted by Ascot - Tuscan Consortia Association for agri-food quality and carried out thanks to the Feasr co-financing of the PSR 2014-2020 of the Tuscany Region under measure 3.2 year 2021.
