A toast that makes the difference. It was Paolo Kessisoglu who uncorked, last night at the Enoluogo on Viale Andrea Doria in Milan, the first bottle of ®Vendemmia Solidale 2024, the sparkling wine produced during the grape harvest day organized by the Le Manzane estate (Treviso) on September 8th in favor of C'è Da Fare ETS to combat youth hardship. That day, almost 550 people took part in the charity event amid laughter, music and happiness in a unique setting in the world: the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition to the popular Genoese actor and comedian, a large group of volunteers from the association were present, as well as journalists, customers, distributors and friends of the Balbinot family, owners of the Le Manzane winery.
"The Vendemmia Solidale - said Paolo Kessisoglu, president of C'è Da Fare ETS - was an extraordinary experience of sharing, which saw over 500 people committed to a common cause. Thanks to initiatives like this, C'è Da Fare ETS can continue to grow and plan new interventions on Italian territory. The 35% of the proceeds from the sales of the bottles, donated to our association, represents a precious support that allows us to evaluate the launch of new projects, with an eye also turned to Veneto, to expand our capacity to support communities in difficulty".
"The success of Vendemmia Solidale - commented Silvia Rocchi, general manager of C'è Da Fare ETS - demonstrates how important the synergies are with entities that share our mission and allow us to expand our range of action. Each bottle sold is not only an excellent wine, but a tangible symbol of support for those experiencing difficult situations. Thanks to these collaborations, C'è Da Fare ETS can consolidate its presence and continue to imagine projects that are increasingly incisive and close to the needs of the territory".
"What we presented this evening - explained Ernesto Balbinot, owner of the Le Manzane company - is a Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG Prosecco Superiore Extra Dry, the result of the 13th edition of the "®Vendemmia Solidale - Festa e Beneficenza nella Terra del Prosecco Superiore". The bottle is enriched with a special label in Braille code. Some dots, less than a millimeter thick, allow a blind person, by simply touching the surface of the bottle with their fingertips, to obtain some useful information such as the alcohol content, the name of the wine and the winery that produces it. The idea of the Braille label was born in 2013 after a dinner in the dark organized and served by the blind people of the Italian Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted of Treviso, who on September 15, 2013 came to harvest the grapes in the vineyards of our winery. The grapes harvested that day were vinified and sparkling separately and the bottles produced were completed with the Braille label. The Le Manzane winery took care of the sale of the wine and a part of the proceeds was donated to the UICI as we will do with these bottles for C'è Da Fare».
«I conclude with a dutiful thank you to all the girls and boys of the Le Manzane winery staff who with their enthusiasm and their work make this event possible every year, to all the partners and sponsors, increasingly numerous every year, who share with us the charitable objectives of the ®Vendemmia Solidale, to the volunteers of C'è Da Fare and to all of you who are here with us this evening», declared Balbinot.
