Masi Agricola has been awarded by Il Sole 24 Ore , in collaboration with the University of Milan-Bicocca , for the excellence demonstrated in the three key ESG areas : governance , awareness and monitoring .
The award was given during the webinar “ Sustainability 2.0: a perspective beyond the rules ”, which was held yesterday, June 30 ; a moment of discussion between companies and financial institutions on the strategic role of sustainability in light of the most recent European regulations. The event, moderated by journalists Vitaliano D'Angerio and Elisabetta Moscatelli, saw the participation of academic experts from the University of Bicocca, including Prof. Monica Rossolini and Dr. Alessia Pedrazzoli.
Masi has distinguished itself as the first classified in the Euronext Growth Milan (EGM) segment of Borsa Italiana.
Masi's more than 250 harvests attest to the fact that environmental, social and economic sustainability has always been an integral part of its DNA . This approach is the basis of the company's ESG path, which has also materialized in the assumption of the status of Benefit Corporation and the adoption at statutory level of the Masi Green Governance paradigm: a formal commitment to the creation of all-round value.
A tangible example of this attitude is Monteleone21 , a multifunctional space recently opened in the heart of Valpolicella Classica , to become its 'gateway' and conceived as a reception and wine culture centre: great density of content (territory, history, art), strong integration with the landscape and the environment (two thirds of the complex is underground), energy supply from renewable sources (photovoltaic and geothermal), measures to promote biodiversity and systems for resource recovery .
This philosophy is also reflected in the recognition that Masi receives today from Sole 24 Ore dedicated to sustainable finance . The award, based on the analysis of ESG questionnaires conducted in collaboration with the Bicocca University, is assigned to companies that have distinguished themselves for at least three years for coherence in the three key areas: governance, awareness and monitoring .
Federico Girotto , CEO of Masi Agricola, stated: “Being first in the ESG ranking among companies listed on Euronext Growth Milan is a very significant achievement for us. It comes at a time when sustainability is no longer just about respecting the rules, but the ability to govern change and build solid value over time. For Masi, this recognition therefore also and above all represents an incentive to continue along a path that combines tradition, innovation and responsibility”.
