The new Calici di Jazz initiative was presented this morning, four events in the villas and estates of the Historical Families association - already sponsor of the first edition of the Ristori Baroque Festival - in which the excellence of the Veronese territory wine will join the timeless sound of jazz music. For this special occasion , the Teatro Ristori leaves its headquarters to bring the excellence of its cultural offer to the lands of fine wines between Valpolicella and Lake Garda , creating an exclusive combination of art and conviviality.
With the 2022/2023 season drawing to a close, a new initiative seals the collaboration between the Historical Families association and the Ristori Theater: an exhibition dedicated to excellence, which will feature art, food and wine culture, terroir and music jazz. Four concerts with Italian jazz stars, in as many suggestive locations that will frame tastings and concerts immersed in the green of the vineyards.
It will start on May 25 in Villa Serego Alighieri with the performance of Musica Nuda , the duo that sees Petra Magoni on vocals and Ferrucio Spinetti on double bass, on June 1 Calici di Jazz moves to Tenuta Santa Cristina with Daniele di Bonaventura with Band' Union , a four-piece formation with bandoneon, 10-string guitar, double bass and percussion. On June 8, Villa Quaranta will become the stage for the Enrico Rava meets Lanzoni Trio concert, a new unmissable collaboration. The review will close on Thursday 15 June in the enchanting location of Villa Della Torre with Sono come Sono by the artist Chiara Civello.

Filippo Manfredi, General Manager of Fondazione Cariverona and Managing Director of Teatro Ristori
« In addition to confirming the collaboration with important local realities, Calici di Jazz demonstrates the will and commitment of the Theater in pursuing new and innovative forms of dissemination of art and musical culture, as well as the enhancement of our territory, also through different locations than the traditional one. A further challenge that is added to the innovations tested during this season and which we are sure will also bring excellent results.»
Alberto Martini, Artistic Director of the Teatro Ristori in Verona
«The Teatro Ristori, this time in an off version, will enliven evocative and prestigious places in the Verona area - Foresteria Serego Alighieri, Villa Quaranta, Tenuta Santa Cristina and Villa Della Torre - making them protagonists of a program where international jazz music marries and the notes of the great wines. A real cultural experience: four live concerts of great charm with important artists of the international jazz scene, in which music and wine also become the key to discovering the beauty and historical value of the territory.

Pierangelo Tommasi, President of Historical Families
« We are proud of this collaboration with the Teatro Ristori which continues after the experience of the Baroque Festival. Calici di Jazz will be a unique opportunity to raise awareness of the territory, the wines and the estates of Historic Families. With this initiative we are carrying forward the mission of our association, that is to enhance wine tourism by combining it with the contemporaneity of jazz music just as the style of our Amarones that will be tasted every evening is contemporary. »
