Nearly a thousand years after its founding, the architectural complex , entirely restored and returned to the community by Giusti Wine founder Ermenegildo Giusti , continues to be a key cultural landmark . On May 23rd and 24th, the site will host two events that combine history, music, and wine, opening the summer season of events at the winery: the Pentagramma di Primavera concert by pianist Emiliano Toso , accompanied by Valentina Wilhelm on the violin; and Tasting History , a guided tour of the monument followed by a tasting of two Giusti wines.
With Spring Pentagram On Saturday, May 23, biologist and musician Emiliano Toso will bring the pieces of Translational Music® to the Abbey walls. The artist composed them to promote the psychophysical and emotional well-being of those who listen. The experiential concert with a piano tuned to 432Hz will be held on the lawn in front of the Abbey. Admission is free with a conscious donation of 20 euros or more. The proceeds will be donated to: ASLA – Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held at the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta in Pieve di Soligo (Treviso).
Tasting History is the event on Sunday, May 24th, promoted by Giusti Wine to showcase the origins and development of the Sant'Eustachio complex , which over the centuries hosted illustrious figures such as the poet Pietro Bembo and Monsignor Giovanni Della Casa , author of Il Galateo , written within the Abbey walls. The event will begin at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 24th, from the Country House and will guide participants through the discovery of the site's thousand-year history. This will be followed by a visit to the barrel cellar and a tasting of two wines: Augusto Asolo Montello DOC , produced with the native Recantina grape, and Antonio Asolo Montello DOC , a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Recantina. The cost of Tasting History is €20, and tickets can be purchased on the winery's website (www.giustiwine.com).
The redevelopment project for the Abbey of Sant'Eustachio is closely intertwined with the career of Ermenegildo Giusti and the winery that bears his name. The birth of Giusti Wine is not an impromptu adventure, but the culmination of a professional journey that began many decades ago in North America. Having emigrated to Canada as a young man, Giusti tenaciously built a career in the construction industry, eventually leading an internationally successful business empire. Despite his achievements overseas, the lure of the Montello hills has never faded. It was precisely this strong pull of identity that convinced him to return to Nervesa della Battaglia to invest in his homeland .
Ermenegildo Giusti's goal was clear from the start: to enhance the Treviso area through quality wine production, capable of competing on global markets . This led to the creation of Giusti Wine, a structured company that now owns ten estates, strategically located in the most suitable areas of the entire Montello and Colli Asolani district. Vineyard management follows a rigorous agronomic philosophy, focused on protecting the ecosystem and safeguarding the precious biodiversity of the hillsides. Among these diverse properties, Tenuta Abazia, located directly next to the restored ancient ruins, stands out for its undeniable historical charm and viticultural vocation.
