Today, 30 years later, the Consortium is a proud standard-bearer of a wine that continues to be among the most appreciated and exported Italian whites, not only in Europe. In these 3 decades, the Consortium has been able to establish itself as a dynamic reality and driving force for the safeguarding of the Denomination, its growth and its affirmation on national and international markets. And just on Friday 10 July the celebrations will officially begin, destined to culminate on 22 September in an event dedicated to the old vintages, hosted in Sirmione, the town where the denomination was born. In these 70 days the Consortium will be a constant protagonist on social and live with an international "anniversary party" , a widespread story that in 30 "pills" will retrace the most salient stages of its history, to then meet all the #Luganalovers on September 18th in Milan for the big annual tasting "Lugana, Timeless harmonies".
The virtual journey of the Consortium will live on the testimonies of the men who contributed to the birth and growth of the organization with exclusive interviews with past presidents and the current President in office, Ettore Nicoletto ; it will bring enthusiasts to discover the 5 municipalities and the 5 types of DOC , give voice to some of the major national and international experts who are profound connoisseurs and lovers of Lugana and finally enhance it in combination with products and typical dishes of the area. 30 unmissable insights, to be followed on social channels (Facebook @consorzioluganadoc, Instagram @ConsorzioLugana, Linkedin Consortium for the Protection of Lugana DOC) , which will be as many stages of approach even to two important live events:
- "Timeless harmonies" , September 18 in Milan, is the traditional annual meeting between the Consortium and the many fans who will have the opportunity, upon registration, to taste the Lugana DOC in the different interpretations proposed by the over 50 participating companies.
- The tribute event to the territory, in collaboration with the Consortium Hoteliers Restaurateurs Sirmione (CARS) , is reserved for professionals, to celebrate the commitment of the producers but also to emphasize the proximity of the Consortium to all operators and restaurateurs who they have contributed to making the DOC famous and affirmed and that in this year in particular they need the maximum support and support. The tasting, which will be held on September 22 by invitation, will be aimed at sommeliers, press, authorities and experts dedicated to the best vintages of the last 30 years , to retrace together the qualitative growth of Lugana, to deepen its styles and appreciate its extraordinary longevity . The opportunity to taste the Old Vintages, which cannot be found on the market, is an unmissable call for experts who can choose from the selection of bottles proposed by the Consortium, representative of the last thirty years, and thus discover new aspects of the Denomination.

From September onwards, the Consortium's international events will also resume, starting from 2 events in Munich and Hamburg, to underline the strong bond with Germany which, after 30 years, still remains a flagship market for the Denomination
