From today, "would-be grape harvesters" can register for the charity grape harvest festival scheduled for Sunday 10 September from 9.00 to 16.00

Reservations are open for the 12th edition of the "Harvest Harvest - Celebration and Charity in the Land of Prosecco Superiore" scheduled for Sunday 10 September 2023, from 9.00 to 16.00, among the Glera rows of the Le Manzane estate in S. Pietro di Feletto ( Treviso). "Aspiring grape harvesters" can already register today for the grape harvest day for charity by writing an email to info@lemanzane.it or through the winery's Facebook page. The proceeds will be donated to the Unico1 non-profit organization to help sick children find the desire to dream again.

Since 2012, the Balbinot family has been organizing the Solidarity Harvest in the splendid scenery of the Prosecco Superiore Hills, a Unesco World Heritage Site since 2019. «We met Diego Murari and his Unico1 non-profit organization thanks to Kristian Ghedina - explain Ernesto Balbinot and his wife Silvana Ceschin - and we were immediately struck by the project and the activities it is carrying out. We are happy to be able to give our contribution to a good cause again this year». Hundreds of people participate in the event every year. In the previous 11 editions, almost 120,000 euros were raised, above all to help research and people in difficulty.

The Unico 1 non-profit organization was founded in 2007 in Romano d'Ezzelino (Vicenza) by the former footballer Diego Murari to help those who, like him, fight every day against uncommon diseases. The association was born with the fundamental support of some famous sportsmen. Unico1 programs meetings with sick children to help them rediscover the desire to smile, the strength to react and the hope of healing. «Some time ago - says Diego Murari - a doctor told me that I wouldn't make it to Christmas. Instead I'm still here. And, if God helps me, tomorrow too I will celebrate another wonderful day of the year together with my parents and all the people who are helping me in my daily struggle to reclaim my future. Yes, because, as Gianni Morandi sings, "one in a thousand makes it, but how hard is the climb!"».

The event will begin with the harvest, will continue with visits to the cellar, live Italian music by the Magirus Band and Alberto Ceschin, some moments of entertainment for the little ones, the green test drive by Manzotti Automobili, an aperitif with Prosecco Superiore Docg Le Manzane, the products of the Fratelli Brunello distillery, also protagonists of a gin and tonic competition, and the delicious fish "cicchetti" of Ca' del Poggio. This will be followed by a raffle with a prize draw. The morning will end with a delicious snack in "caneva".
