On June 22nd, the long dock welcomed thousands of people to meet the event's protagonists, united by their solidarity with the smallest and most vulnerable: nearly 300 stations, including chefs and starred chefs, pizza makers, fry shops, sandwich shops, pastry chefs, producers, winemakers, craft breweries, and bartenders, with a particular focus on sustainability and gluten-free options.
The €268,845 raised confirms the resounding success of the previous edition. This is a source of pride for everyone, especially since it was held in Campania, a testament to the extraordinary sensitivity and participation of the region. The support of President Agostino Gallozzi and all the staff at Marina D'Arechi Port Village was invaluable.
Anna Maria Alfani, president of the OPEN OdV Association, was moved on stage during the customary thanksgiving ceremony and officially announced the conclusion of the Editor project in collaboration with CEINGE, the Institute of Advanced Biotechnologies of the University of Naples Federico II. This year, the project will have all the necessary funds to complete its genomic sequencing efforts aimed at preventing and treating pediatric cancers.
The support of the IAA Chamber of Commerce of Salerno was also crucial, playing a significant role in supporting "Buonissimi" by fostering dialogue and bringing together the region's top producers. This initiative brought companies and producers closer to the event's guests and chefs, creating a valuable network of relationships, collaborations, and new opportunities for shared growth.
Mario Capasso , Associate Professor of Medical Genetics at the Federico II University of Naples and Principal Investigator of CEINGE, detailed research on over 800 patients into DNA mutations present in over 12% of cases and which predispose unwitting carriers to subsequently develop the disease.
During the evening, the "Franco Ricciardi" Award was presented to Dr. Fabiola De Gregorio, an example of clinical and research collaboration in pediatric oncology between two Campanian centers of excellence: CEINGE in Naples and the Pausilipon Treatment Center. Roberto Jannelli, Rosario Augusto, and Emiliano Esposito provided entertainment on the Terrace, with live music, cocktails, and a great sense of fun.
For Paola Pignataro and Silvana Tortorella, "Buonissimi 2026 was a great success, but the real satisfaction was seeing so many people smile and enjoy being with their families during a wonderful evening of love and flavor."
