Combining the expressiveness of wine with that of music , for a celebration of both: this is the goal of Barricati in Cantina , a series of weekly events during the BorghiAmo festival, a journey in stages between 6 Wine Cities of the Valle d ' Aosta - Arvier, Aymavilles, Chambave, Donnas, Morgex and Villeneuve - which wants to honor the richness of the cultural and food and wine traditions of the Valle d'Aosta villages. For his debut Barricati in Cantina wanted ONAV at his side, a synergy strongly desired by the Vice President Teresa Bordin. «Wine has a strong and fascinating voice, suitable for expressing itself in different contexts: with ONAV we have always been committed to communicating the wine culture with new and stimulating languages, which underline its versatility - affirms Vito Intini , President of the Organization . - This collaboration was born in the local, but we hope to be able to extend it also at national level. Music and wine are universal and exciting languages ». Barricati in Cantina is an initiative that has aroused a lot of interest, so much so that with Città del Vino we are already thinking about a next national edition.
The event will be a midweek appointment that will see as protagonists the musical notes of the Caronte Group with a musical repertoire that is different every time, from opera to rock, from the 70s Italian classics to heavy metal, but always interpreted with classical instrumentation. Alongside the group will be the wine producers, who together with ONAV will have the opportunity to tell their product in the context of the village and the territory.
<< Music is one of the most exciting artistic forms as well as wine is an expression of the manual culture of man. This combination enriches the communication of both, intercepting complementary audiences, united by the love for beautiful and good things. Says the Vice President Teresa Bordin.

The combination of wine and culture is nothing new for ONAV which, thanks in particular to the commitment of the vice president Pia Donata Berlucchi, through the CoNVi project has led in recent years to the teaching of wine values in Italian high schools. Thanks to this initiative, developed in meetings on the history and culture of wine as an element of Italian identity, hundreds of students have been made aware of the culture of wine and conscious consumption.
