The event that celebrates and rewards the excellences of Puglia, Basilicata, Campania, Calabria and Sicily will be held in Bari from 9th to 15th June

Several are the novelties for this tenth edition.




The 49th edition of Vinitaly has unveiled the full program of "Radici del Sud", the festival that rewards the good wines from native grapes of Puglia, Basilicata, Campania, Calabria and Sicily.



Yesterday, 23rd March, at the fair in Verona, to support the patron of the renowned event Nicola Campanile, the Councillor for Agricultural Policies of the Puglia Region Fabrizio Nardoni, along with journalists Luciano Pignataro, Ole Udsen, Maurizio Gily and Michele Peragine who led the press conference.



The event was attended by journalists and international operators, curious to know the full program of "Radici del Sud".



«A lot of news for this tenth edition that promises to be exciting – the organizer Nicola Campanile states – First of all the location of the seat that moves to Bari, from 9th to 15th June. Moreover, the event will take place in two separate locations to improve the technical aspects involving the rich organizational machine. The blind tasting and BtoB meetings with operators will be held with closed doors in the first five days at the Rondò Hotel, while the final day open to the public of wine lovers, in the program on 15th June, will be held at the Masseria Corte di Torrelonga».



But that’s not all.



BtoB meetings will take place only between producers, inwine–buyers and importers, while more than 30 national and international journalists and bloggers (from Italy, Switzerland, Norway, Austria, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Great Britain, Holland, the USA China, Hong Kong and Poland) who will have the delicate task of judging blindly the wines of Southern Italy, will be engaged also in real press–tours in Puglia, too.



Moreover, thanks to its proximity to the port of Bari, other journalists will have the opportunity to participate in the Exhibition on the final day (15th June) and thus enjoy the captivating and varied proposal of Southern Italy’s wines.



Another novelty is represented by the opportunity given to the public of wine lovers: a blind tasting also for them, to challenge themselves testing all the samples coming from the wineries registered and learn about the various oenological gems of Southern Italy.



Finally, to celebrate together, on 15th June, the hands of the best chefs will prepare a variety of dishes to be served paired with the winning wines.
