An association that in 15 years has raised over 380 thousand euros to support scientific research against eye diseases , through the assignment of unique and numbered bottles from the best barriques of the Maculan company of Breganze (Vicenza).
"Santalucia 2023 is a Cabernet Sauvignon selected by the panel of tasters, journalists and representatives of the institutions that met last October 29th at our headquarters - explains Fausto Maculan -. An edition that we particularly care about for the mastery and sensitivity that the cooperative's artists have reserved for the project. The eye of Santa Lucia has been interpreted freehand for 300 times, giving life to labels even more precious in their singularity".
The artistic packaging and graphic designs of the limited edition were created by the guys from In.PERFETTO , an artistic atelier that offers training and preparation for the world of work, part of the Vite Vere Down DADI Cooperative of Padua.

This year's proceeds will support the activities of the new Santalucia Clinic , the first surgical center inaugurated by the Fondazione Banca degli Occhi del Veneto ETS, dedicated to people affected by rare diseases, to the research of new therapies and to the development of cutting-edge therapeutic pathways.
The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a single panoramic vineyard rooted in the Ferrata area , in Breganze, on a hill with volcanic and tuff soil exposed to the south. The bouquet is clean, frank, with hints of ripe blue fruit, plum and blueberry, of great pleasantness. In the mouth it is rich and dry, the sip full, defined by intense fruity hints. Structured and persistent, the Santalucia 2023 has a high aging potential, capable of expressing itself to the maximum in the next ten years. Excellent paired with roasts and mature cheeses
