Asolo Prosecco meets dairy excellence at Caseus

Numerous appointments to discover the refined Asolo bubbles during the two days scheduled at Villa Contarini on Saturday 30th and Sunday 1st October.

Asolo Prosecco is once again a partner of Caseus, the event dedicated to large dairies and small mountain hut producers.

With its refined bubbles, the Asolo Prosecco Consortium will accompany the cheese excellences of the Veneto during the nineteenth edition of the event, which will be held in the charming Villa Contarini in Piazzola sul Brenta (Padua) on Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October . The program includes a rich calendar of guided tastings, food and wine pairings, meetings with cheesemakers, masterclasses and moments of training and discussion.
During Caseus , Asolo Prosecco will be the co-protagonist together with the dairy excellences of various meetings including Cheese is Green , a series of seven cooking shows conducted by expert chefs who will focus on exploring the best combinations between cheeses, season and the refined Asolo Prosecco wines. On Saturday at 1.00 pm it will be possible to taste the combinations with Grana Padano DOP according to Matthias Kirchler of the Lunaris 1964 restaurant, while at 3.00 pm it will be the turn of the Piave DOP, curated by Federico Rovacchi of Baita Piè Tofana . Finally, at 5.00 pm, the protagonist will be Provolone Valpadana DOP, with the expertise of Silvia Moro of the Aldo Moro Restaurant – La Cuisine dal 1940 . Sunday will open at 10.00 with the tasting of Asiago DOP, conducted by chef Andrea Valentinetti . Afterwards, at 12.00, Casatella Trevigiana DOP and Mozzarella STG will be the center of attention with Gabriel Musat from the Havana restaurant. At 2.00 pm, however, it will be the turn of Montasio DOP with Daniele Zennaro from Algiubagiò . Finally, at 4.00 pm, you can explore the possibilities of Monte Veronese DOP with Francesco Massenz of Incàlmo Ristorante .
Asolo Prosecco will also be present at the event, repeated on both days, Lattebusche: territory, story and tasting , during which chef Marco Valletta will talk about and interpret the local excellences, and at Degustazioni delle Dop , the pairing paths with the DOPs which will be held on Sunday: at 11.00 am Grana Padano DOP and Casatella Trevigiana DOP, at 1.00 pm Montasio DOP and Monte Veronese DOP, at 3.30 pm Piave DOP and Asiago DOP and finally at 5.00 pm Provolone Valpadana DOP and Mozzarella TSG. Furthermore, during the entire duration of the event it will be possible to taste Asolo Prosecco in the consortium stands set up in the area outside the villa.
Caseus is the most important regional cheese event, born in 2005 to enhance the history of 3000 Venetian farmers and which has become international in spirit in 2022 with the creation of three different routes : Caseus Veneti is dedicated to the regional producers of Veneto, who also have the the opportunity to participate in the Caseus Veneti Regional Competition ; Caseus Italiae is the path reserved for producers from all regions of Italy; Caseus Mundi is the exhibition area of foreign specialties. Entry is free and the event continues to grow in terms of participation and interest, with over 80,000 attendees and more than 500 cheeses registered for the 2022 competition
