The Strada del Franciacorta Association has made art, cinema and taste protagonists of Franciacortando 2013.
Franciacortando is an event that allows to live and discover the area of Franciacorta. The event combines food and wine, nature and culture.
Not be missed is the spring meeting organized by the Strada del Franciacorta Association, which will take place from Friday, 31th May to Sunday, 2nd June.
Franciacortando 2013 will take place in the heart of the beautiful hills surrounding the southern part of Lake Iseo, in the province of Brescia. To animate the territory there will be many actors: winemakers, winehouses, producers of local and hand-crafted products, hotels, historic houses, b & b, restaurants, taverns, pubs, wine bars, agritourisms, tour operators, bike rental companies, guides for hiking and horseback riding, local public transport companies.
The program is very rich: social dining, Francky Criquet, watercolor painting, short film competitions, photo exhibitions, theater performances, creative workshops. During the weekend Franciacorta as a whole will welcomes guests who can choose among many opportunities to live this land extraordinarily suited to viticulture. For sure, the visitors will be able to experience flavours, knowledge and culture of Franciacorta.
In addition, local products coupled with Franciacorta wines will be offered in the menu of restaurants, agritourisms and winehouses. The subjects of the menus will be inspired by the road, art and culture.
All members of the Strada del Franciacorta Association will offer guided tours, tastings and micro-events in the cellars and in the laboratories of local products, delicious themed menus in restaurants and agritourisms, guided tours on foot, by bicycle or on horseback.
To facilitate the stay of the visitors, weekend packages in hotels, agritourisms, campings, historic houses and bed & breakfasts will be available. Another facilitation is the Franciacorta Card, to have discounts and promotions in all the structures.

Live performance of the French Francky Criquet: the "wild and visionary painter"
Francky Criquet is a full-blooded artist and alchemist of colors. At Franciacortando he will create action painting artworks that thanks to dynamics and trenchant force will captivate the attention of the participants.
The event is organised by the Milanese gallery Artespressione of Paula Nora Seegy and edited by Matteo Pacini. The exhibition will be complemented by valuable sound improvisations by the Umbrian band of contemporary and experimental music "Madtriosca."
Ma 'Hidden Kitchen Supper Club
Hidden Kitchen, inside people's homes and Supper Club, special menus by American dinings.
Melissa & Lelèn have devised a very special formula for Franciacortando: a few guests, relatively simple recipes and exclusive space to socialize.

Watercolor painting outdoor sessions
The School of Angelo Gorlini ("Master of watercolor since 1988") organises events in which the participants will have the opportunity to observe the artists while painting their artworks outdoor, and to be invited by the artists to engage in the difficult art of watercolor, learning the basics and getting tips to make a painting.
"ORIGO" - Photo exhibition by Pierpaolo Metelli edited by Matteo Pacini
The exhibition "Origo" (origin) by Matteo Pacini, shows photographs inspired by the grapevine as the origin of the production process of wine making. Pierpaolo Metelli is an artist of unique sensitivity, able to capture the more intense side of the people he chooses as subjects rendering them expressive.
FranciaCORTI COMPETITION
The competition aims to present and promote audiovisual productions by young filmmakers who will be working on the theme "THE ROAD, understood as a journey, a path that, from the outside, then become experience, knowledge and contacts leading to self-consciousness".
The filmmakers may enroll directly through the website www.franciacortando.it.
The short films submitted will be selected and screened during the event.
WORKSHOP_ Contact Improvisation
The Theatre Company Teatro D'Oltre Confine will entertain children and give adults the opportunity to participate in a Workshop of Contact Improvisation, a dance technique born in the 70s in America, which is based on the weight transfer between two bodies in a physical dialogue in improvisation, in which all the senses are involved.
