Franciacorta supports art: at the L’Arsenale foundation of Iseo an auction with the Franciacorta wines and an exhibition dedicated to the vineyards will take place to support cultural initiatives
The event, sponsored by the Consortium for the Protection of Franciacorta, is unique. In effect, it is the first auction with the wines of Franciacorta.
An auction of Franciacorta wines for art
27 wineries belonging to the Consortium for the Protection of Franciacorta have donated one or more items that are special for vintage, size and quality. The bottles will be auctioned on Saturday, December 13th, at 6:30 p.m. There are really precious bottles, such as the Extra Brut Millesimato of 2007, of the Lo Sparviere winery, winner of the "3 Bicchieri" of Gambero Rosso; the Bellavista Riserva Speciale Vittorio Moretti 2004 vintage, a great year for Franciacorta, produced right for the première at the Scala that this year is dedicated to Beethoven’s Fidelio; celebrating bottles for the turn of the millennium by the winery of the Berlucchi brothers: a numbered series accompanied by an Empire style engraved ice bucket. The Ca’ del Bosco winery made a gift of a jéroboam (3 liters) of the red "Maurizio Zanella"; the Berlucchi Guido winery will be present with the Cuvée Franco Ziliani 2007, the Mirabella winery of Rodengo Saiano donated for the occasion an "author bottle" of Magnum Brut belonging to the private and personal collection of the owner (consisting of 5 pieces) painted by the late painter Vito Alghisi from Franciacorta.
"We use this formula after the great success of a similar initiative organized last year with the works donated by many local artists. A free event in which everyone can take part to give even a small contribution to the mission of the Foundation" – Luca Degl’Innocenti, President of L’Arsenale, explains.
The day of the auction the "Segni diVINO" exhibition will be inaugurated, an exhibition dedicated to the theme of the vineyard with pastels and etchings by the artist Luigi Dragoni from Crema, a selection of photographs of the Iseoimmagine Group and some works of the private collections of the wineries.
