An instant book written by Flavio Geretto and Fabio Piccoli to help wine producers and managers to find their way through one of the most difficult phases even for our viticulture. A concrete and operational manual to better read the current reality, identify possible future scenarios and, above all, develop the best strategies to remain competitive even tomorrow. The proceeds will be donated to charity.

"We decided to create this 'instant book' - explained the two authors - to make a contribution to all those who work within the wine supply chain to be able to find their way through one of the most difficult phases of our modern history".
"Our attempt - continue Geretto and Piccoli - was to be able to read the current reality as objectively as possible and to look at today's difficulties also as an important new opportunity for Italian entrepreneurs and wine managers to further improve their their skills and the ability to be competitive. "
It is, in fact, a "manual" that wants to be a concrete and operational tool for better reading the current reality, identifying possible future scenarios and, above all, developing the best strategies to remain competitive.
The aim therefore that prompted Geretto and Piccoli to write this Instant Book, is to be able to provide reading keys to the Covid-19 phenomenon from a business point of view, from the wine sector, but also from that of the trade.
“In fact, we considered it essential - explains Flavio Geretto - to evaluate the effects of the phenomenon in all customer segments, from horeca to retail, from the national wholesaler to the international distributor, from the online store to the final consumer. The analysis of the cause / effect factors that impacted the wine sector is also important ".
For these objectives, the book examines three fundamental phases, divided into 10 chapters.
The first phase concerns the analysis of the consequences of the pandemic caused by Covid-19 in the domestic and foreign wine market. In addition to this, we went to analyze how the actors in our sector could or should react to face this emergency.
The second part, however, concerns what will change in the wine market once this phase is over and normal life can be resumed. On this point we are firmly convinced, there will be permanent changes, which will be essential both from the point of view of the producer and from the point of view of the consumer.
Finally, in the third part we examined "what must change", because from this emergency there are also emerging limits that our vines system had well before the arrival of this pandemic.
"It is precisely here that wine producers and all related industries - emphasize the authors - from passive subjects will have to become active subjects, that is, it will be up to them to decide what they have to change in their mentality and concepts, in order to better face and read the changes that will occur, the trends that could be created.
