The Diversity Ark certification, founded in 2022 by agronomists Stefano Amadeo and Stefano Zaninotti and which today also includes Luigi Vignaduzzo, continues to earn prestigious recognition overseas.
Quebec has officially included it among the certifications accepted by the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ), the provincial monopoly that regulates the sale of alcohol.
Diversity Ark is an innovative certification that, today, includes a team of naturalists, agronomists and biologists, and adopts a holistic approach to the protection of biodiversity , guaranteeing a reliable and recognized method.
After obtaining European recognition from CSQA, at the end of 2024 it reached a new milestone: inclusion among the standards recognized by Equalitas for the evaluation of the soil biodiversity indicator .
“ We are truly proud of the evolution we are experiencing and the success that the certification is having. It all stems from our vision, which focuses on the long-term health of people and the soil, promoting responsible production based on a scientific approach, ” commented Amadeo and Zaninotti.
This further very important result was also made possible thanks to the action of Inama , a historic Venetian winemaking company recognized for its commitment to sustainable production , which started the accreditation process and obtained the green light for inclusion among the certifications recognized by the SAQ.
“We have believed in the Diversity Ark certification from the beginning. In fact, we were the first company to begin the journey and, for this reason, to actively contribute to the construction of the certification with the agronomists and various experts of Vitenova. We are truly proud that the certification registered with EUIPO and certified at European level by the CSQA body, the result of years of collaboration and research, is now accredited for the value of research and measurability by the Québec Monopoly, on a par with Organic and other sustainability certifications. This recognition will further strengthen our presence in Canada, allowing us to tell the story of the work done to enhance the biodiversity, balance and resilience of our vineyards. A commitment that translates into a new model of well-being for nature, bringing wines to the glass that express respect for the environment and the authenticity of our work,” says Stefano Inama .
The inclusion in the certification system approved by Quebec marks a further step forward in the growth and international consolidation of Diversity Ark , already recognized in Europe by CSQA and Equalitas .
The approval by a key market like Canada strengthens the credibility of this certification as a reference standard for environmental sustainability in the wine sector .
Diversity Ark thus confirms itself as a reliable option for companies that aim to stand out for their attention to biodiversity and the environment . This approval opens up new business opportunities, facilitating access to markets regulated by monopolies and offering further confirmation of the validity of its protocol.
