"IT IS FUNDAMENTAL TO OPEN DIALOGUE BETWEEN STAKEHOLDERS, WINE IS NOT DEMONIZED BUT RECOGNIZED AS THE EXCELLENCE OF MADE IN ITALY".

Mario Piccini, CEO of Tenute Piccini SPA signs an open letter for the governor of the Lombardy region Attilio Fontana after the publication of the new decree that prohibits the sale for take-away of any alcoholic beverage by all types of public establishments, as well as by commercial businesses and craft activities from 6 pm.
In the letter, Mario Piccini opens the discussion regarding the issues that will affect the wine sector over the next few months and which, with the arrival of winter, will need constant dialogue between stakeholders as well as universal interpretations in order to overcome the difficulties of the current contingency. The CEO expresses concern not only for his own company, but for the entire Italian wine sector and for all the producers who see themselves mutilating, once again, part of their reference markets. "I am aware of the very serious situation we are going through at national and world level", says Piccini, "as a company we are committed every day to protect the health of our employees and their families, aware that only by maintaining a high level of alert we will be able to cope with the drama of the moment. On the other hand, I believe that the measure signed by Governor Fontana does not help the image of Italian wine, which is instead demonized and relegated to the status of incentive to the so-called movida and not recognized as one of the excellences of our country " .
Mario Piccini ends the letter with an invitation to open dialogue and sharing, with a view to safeguarding both the interests of the wine sector and the health of citizens. "Starting an exchange on these issues is essential, the more voices are involved, the more refined the answers and messages will be that will help overcome the difficulties that lie ahead for the winter months", comments Piccini in conclusion.
