8–9–10 June, Naples, wine tastings; workshops, more than 200 wineries, 15 thousand visitors, 35 international buyers: these are the ingredients of VitignoItalia 2014, the largest wine show in Central–Southern Italy

Now in its tenth edition, Vitignoitalia, the exhibition of wines and Italian Vinegrowing and Winemaking Territories begins on Sunday, June 8th, at Castel dell’Ovo, Naples. Until Tuesday, 10th June, many national winemaking companies, various foreign buyers, journalists, traders and wine enthusiasts will liven up the show for the tenth year.


VitignoItalia 2014 for the internationalization

Vitignoitalia is recognized by professionals, critics and producers, as the wine event of reference of Central and Southern Italy. This year VitignoItalia further focuses on foreign countries thanks to the collaboration of the Italian Trade Agency and the Department for Productive Activities of the Campania Region.

The international buyers have risen and will come from Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Japan, England, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Czech Republic, Singapore, the USA, to promote internationalization also with the partnership with UniCredit that has a unique in the Italian banking panorama international network, with a presence in 17 countries in Europe and in 50 markets around the world.


10 years for VitignoItalia

«The milestone of 10 years guarantees the quality of the project and its leadership position in Central and Southern Italy. This is the reason why we support VitignoItalia, whose economic impact in the area are clear», thus Maurizio Maddaloni, president of Unioncamere Campania, introduced the work this morning in the Board Room of the Chamber of Commerce of Naples in Bovio Square.

Also this year, the three main sommeliers associations – Ais, Fisar and European Sommelier – will lead the technical tastings.

The 2014 program includes historical vintage tastings, will focus on some local productions and monographic tastings. Next to wine, L’Antro di Virgilio will host a selection of gourmet products with a special attention on national and regional productions of excellence.
