In the Trentino winemaking landscape, one of the areas most suited to the production of quality mountain wines is Vallagarina, the valley that connects Trento to Verona and represents one of the most interesting wine-growing corridors in the Alpine region.

It is a compact, complete and strategically positioned winemaking asset , with a strong territorial identity and significant potential for industrial and commercial growth.

A Trentino terroir with a great vocation

The property extends over a total of 14 hectares in a single body , entirely covered in vineyards, at an altitude of approximately 300 metres above sea level .

The Volano area is historically recognized for some highly valuable agronomic characteristics:

  • strong natural ventilation along the Adige Valley
  • excellent sun exposure on multiple sides
  • marked temperature variations between day and night
  • well-drained soils of alluvial and morainic origin

This microclimate allows for a slow and perfect ripening of the grapes , guaranteeing healthy bunches and aromatic concentration, fundamental elements for quality wines.

Vallagarina is also one of the most dynamic areas of Trentino in terms of winemaking: important cooperatives and private companies operate here and many suppliers work with leading companies such as Ferrari Trento , a sign of a vocation also recognised for the Trentodoc sparkling wine bases .

A structured and mechanizable vineyard

The company vineyard covers 13.3 hectares , with varieties perfectly integrated into the local soil and climate.

Cultivated varieties

  • Traminer Aromatico – 3.3 ha
  • Pinot Grigio – 1.7 ha
  • Chardonnay – 2.7 ha
  • Merlot – 1.4 ha
  • Cabernet Sauvignon – 1.5 ha
  • Cabernet Franc – 0.2 ha
  • Moscato Rosa – 0.2 ha
  • Yellow Muscat – 1.4 ha
  • Pinot Noir – 0.9 ha

The vineyard is completely irrigated with a drip system and supported by a deep company well with a flow rate of 2 liters per second , guaranteeing water security even in the driest years.

The land is suitable for mechanization , allowing for modern and efficient management of agricultural work.

A modern cellar already operational

In 1997 the company cellar was built , located in a central position on the property.

The property has approximately 980 m2 of surface area , with the possibility of expansion.

The entire production cycle takes place inside it:

  • winemaking
  • grape drying
  • refinement
  • bottling
  • storage

The cellar is equipped with advanced technologies , including:

  • automated systems for drying grapes
  • refrigeration and dehumidification systems
  • stabilization and bottling systems
  • basement room dedicated to aging in barrique and bottle

A distinctive element is the presence of advanced drying management systems , which allow the production of wines of great aromatic complexity.

Production and industrial potential

The company's annual production is approximately:

2,000 quintals of grapes

equivalent to a production potential of approximately:

200,000 bottles per year

Currently only a minority of the production (around 20%) is vinified on the estate , equal to around 20,000–25,000 bottles .

The remaining grapes are delivered to the Mezzacorona social winery , one of the most important cooperatives in Trentino.

This production model makes Maso a very flexible asset , with various development possibilities.

It is also possible to reach up to 400,000 bottles per year by purchasing additional grapes and remaining within the preferential agricultural tax regime.

A range of wines with a strong identity

The company produces five labels , appreciated by industry guides and international competitions.

Among these:

Pra' del Maso

Merlot vinified with carbonic maceration , with an elegant and fruity profile, with round tannins and great drinkability.

Traminer

Aromatic wine obtained with partial pressing of whole bunches and maceration , which amplifies complexity and olfactory intensity.

Pink Moscato

Rare sweet Trentino wine made from dried grapes , with notes of rose, spices and red fruit.

Edys

White dessert wine obtained from Moscato Giallo, Chardonnay and Traminer , partly dried and partly overripe in the vineyard.

Red “Government” method

Merlot-Cabernet blend obtained with the ancient Governo method, with the addition of dried grapes for a second fermentation that enriches structure and complexity.

Tasting and hospitality area

At the heart of the estate there is a tasting area immersed in the vineyards , with a stone house overlooking the valley.

The panoramic position makes it the ideal location for:

  • tastings
  • private events
  • wine experience
  • wine tourism activities

The residence

Inside the property there is a main house of approximately 620 m2 on three levels , divided into two residential units , with a large garden.

This property represents an ideal base for:

  • owner's residence
  • accommodation facility
  • wine hospitality
  • wine tourism relais.

Who is this opportunity suitable for?

This property is particularly interesting for different investor profiles.

Why is it on the market now?

The property has belonged to the same family for over a century , and represents a historic reality in the area.

The decision to open up for sale stems from a phase of generational transition and company reorganization , which now makes possible the entry of a new entrepreneur capable of fully enhancing the estate's production and commercial potential.

What kind of operation does it represent?

Production integration

for a winery that wants to increase the availability of quality grapes.

Commercial relaunch
