Our cart of roasts and boiled meat: a tradition of our land increasingly rare to find, because it is not easy to propose any day depending on the season, about 20 different types of meats and sausages that are always fresh and of quality. Pork is the king, but there are also veal, beef, lamb, capon and stuffing, typically of Reggio Emilia. Seasonal fruits and vegetables such as fresh pore mushrooms, artichokes, asparagus, rigorously white truffle that finds its exaltation in flambé Risotto prepared in the dining room inside a wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. The "Reggiano", as they call it in these parts, is complement and prince in our preparations, or can be tasted in slivers with a few drops of balsamic vinegar, another milestone in our kitchen.
Our sweets, always fresh, are all prepared daily by the chef, presented on their cart.
The restaurant has 3 rooms for a total of 110 seats, the central hall can accommodate about 50 people. We also have two smaller and more private rooms that can accommodate 35 and 25 guests, respectively. The property is perfect for business lunches and business meetings and also for family celebrations and groups of friends.
For thirty years we have focused on catering with passion and the desire to offer an attentive and discrete service. The restaurant wants to entertain you with good home cooking, where pasta and desserts are homemade. We change our menu with the changing of seasons ensuring the genuineness of the ingredients. The recipes are presented as in the past or revisited with fancy, but always with respect for tradition and quality of raw materials, to sit and discover the best dishes of the Emilian tradition, not only taste but immense pleasure.
A cuisine like the one of the bygone days, still able to enhance the delicacies of our territory and at the same time to recognize the prestige of the traditional dishes of Emilia.
Our secret is the love we put in the selection and research of products and raw materials: from cold cuts, to meat, vegetables, wines. We try to prefer the products of our area: hams with ages from 24 to 36 months, homemade “culatello” by Architect Brozzi, Parmigiano Reggiano of the Mountain, traditional balsamic vinegar of Reggio Emilia. But we do not forget the seasonality of some products. Therefore, when found: mushrooms, truffles, “radicchio tardivo di Treviso”.
Everything that is served to our guests, starting with bread and baked gnocchi to go to egg pasta (tortelli, cappelletti, tagliatelle, baked pasta), to desserts, is prepared by us in the house.
Every single ingredient has its own story but not for this reason I limit myself in experimenting new dishes with combinations that at first might seem unthinkable. I am convinced that every dish should have its own character and must convey my values and my endless dedication and passion for cooking.
