In the memory of our childhood the tastes and the traditional dishes that in every family were prepared with different nuances are imprinted. This memories remain indelible throughout life. Since 1983, when the Mariposa tavern was founded in Borgo Garimberti 27 in Parma, and today with Casale Mariposa, we prepare the dishes of our land, trying to do our best to represent it. Despite being an island, in the culinary field, the prevailing culture is that of the land.

Osteria Dei Mascalzoni

In the alley by the disquieting name, "Cinque Piaghe" (five sores), there is a small tavern by the curious name. The concept of tavern is renowed, reducing that gruff and shy figure of the owner, transforming him into a friendly person, smiling and with his usual long apron: the modern innkeeper.

Trattoria La Ca Vecia

Ca Vecia is a rustic and warm enviroment created from the renovation of an old farmhouse in the heart of Verdi’s land in the lush countryside of Parma.

The venue is family run with the peculiarity that it is run by women only.

During the summer you can also enjoy the large summer garden, that can accommodate 50 guests inside and 50 outside.



At Ca Vecia you find the delights of the Parma specialties made ​​as once: homemade pasta, the choice of genuine ingredients, the old grandmother’s recipes, but also the imagination to create new sensations with specially revisited dishes that give a touch of uniqueness to the tavern.
