Via Bagutta 14 (P.zza S.Babila)
̷ Milano (Milano)
Italy
It is almost eighty–five years old, but does not show it, and perhaps for this reason it has always been BAGUTTA, namely the restaurant more restaurant and the tavern more tavern in Milan: simple, true, intimate, homely and different and, for all these reasons, attended by writers, painters, publishers, great tailors, models, actors, actresses, singers, directors of companies, poets, businessmen of all countries of the world, doctors, photographers, journalists, lawyers, engineers, knights of labor, politicians ...

If we could mention the names of all those who paraded or parade every day between the walls of Bagutta, these pages would not be enough, for sure. But, why do you go to eat at Bagutta? Because in this tavern the first Italian literary prize was established and today, in Italy, every year more than a thousand prizes are assigned, but all were established after Bagutta; food is good, because you are in a truly unique and captivating in its originality place, and, finally, because you feel at home.

Being able to communicate this impression and make everyone really feel at home, in the end, is the greatest merit of the restaurant opened in 1924, where one day the writer Bacchelli passed and was attracted by the frond placed as a sign, an old and simple village call, and then stopped to eat.

Being pleased, he continued to go there bringing every now his friends who, since they ate really well and spent a little money, became regular customers. In this way, that small venue opened by Alberto Pepori from Galleno, a district of Fucecchio, became – it was already in 1926 – the meeting place for writers, artists and journalists.
