Express menu, a good value for money and specialities of Romagna are the ingredients of “Il Posto delle Briciole”, a restaurant/pizzeria in Civitella di Romagna, in the province of Forlì–Cesena, a few kilometers from the Ridracoli dam. “Il Posto delle Briciole” was founded in 1996 with the will of Franco, Luciana and Virna, when their experience acquired in the field of their previous activity was transplanted in what is today one of the flagships of the gastronomy in the territory of Forlì. Since 2006, the venue is located in Berlinguer square and is composed of a wide hall, a small basement room for customers who prefer a more reserved space, a wide summer terrace and an ample car park in front of the main entrance. The menu is exclusively express and accompanied, every day, by a short list of alternative proposals, offering only dishes linked to the season, all at a small price and in line with the local tradition. They, in effect, use mostly locally sourced products, to guarantee quality and genuineness. For the administration of the various roasts, of rabbit, pigeon and guinea fowl, reservation is required. All evenings, moreover, it is possible to taste a wide range of pizzas, classic and special, that owe their name to the streets of the town, confirming a strong bond to the territory.

“Il Posto delle Briciole” is open every day, Tuesdays excluded, at lunch and dinner. On Fridays, however, “Il Posto delle Briciole” is synonymous with originality with an exotic hint: at lunch, in alternative to the classic menu, you can order fish dishes of the tradition, typical of the Romagna hinterland, such as salted codfish with leeks, fish soup with croutons and cuttlefish with peas; in the evening, however, you can taste a menu in “Mexico” style.

The restaurant, then, includes “L’Area”: a corner where good food is served all day, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. you can enjoy first, second and side dishes, as well as, in the afternoon, pizza slices, Crescione and Piadina with the most varied fillings. It works also as rotisserie and snack bar and has a takeaway room with separate entrance on the ground floor. Over the years, “L’Area” has become an obligatory stop for Sunday visitors to the weekly market that run along the streets of Civitella, before they venture into the ridges of Campigna.
