On the road that leads from Bergamo to Lecco, between Ponte San Pietro and Pontida, Ambivere is situated, a small town of 2,200 inhabitants, including a district. At the beginning of the old town, nestled in a Lombard courtyard of the sixteenth century, Antica Osteria dei Cameli is located.

Founded in 1856 by the ancestors of the current owners, it continues its activity of food service.

A targeted restructuring, signed by the respectful ability of architect of Lucio Agazzi from Bergamo, which was completed in July 2001, has made its old personality emerge.

Once inside, you will find yourself in an entrance of the fifteenth century, furnished with sitting area and fireplace. There, you will have the chance to leave your coats and sit, according to preference, in one of several rooms.

In a warm and comfortable environment you will be greeted personally by the owner Camillo Rota who will accompain you throughout your stay. Once you have chosen, with calm, from the menu that changes with the seasons and the market, you can in all relax enjoy the preparations of Loredana and Fernanda, wife and mother, respectively, of Camillo. And then you have the opportunity to realize the rigorous research of raw materials, the tireless commitment in the kitchen to transform them.
