- Montevetrano Winery Acquired by the White Bridge Fund / Tenuta Ulisse The White Bridge Fund is strengthening its presence in Central and Southern Italy: following Cirelli, acquired last May, Montevetrano has also joined the Tenuta Ulisse group. - 2025 Harvest: A Year of Quality and Quantity. With a forecast of 47.4 million hectoliters (8% over 2024), Italy confirms its position as world leader, ahead of France and Spain. Excellent quality from North to South.
- Consumption down and inventory up Despite an excellent year, Bergamo wineries are seeing a 30% drop in consumption and rising inventory, driven by inflation, tariffs, and new highway code regulations.
- Lambrusco DOC: quantity down, quality up. Consortium President Biondi emphasizes the importance of quality and growing exports, especially to the United States.
- Three Glasses 2026: Basilicata shines Four Aglianico del Vulture wines have been awarded by Gambero Rosso, with new emerging producers alongside historic producers.
- Slow Wine 2026: Tenuta il Plino Awarded Il Plino della Taverna 2021, a white wine from Cesena born from a genetic mutation of old Trebbiano and enriched with noble rot, has won the “Top Wine – Vino Slow” award.
- Vulture is the Italian City of Wine 2026. The Lucanian Aglianico region wins the title with a joint candidacy of 14 municipalities, recognized for its networking ability and strategic vision.

- Frasky, the robot in the vineyard. After testing in the Le Corne vineyards in Grumello del Monte, the prototype developed by the Italian Institute of Technology is preparing to become more autonomous and adaptable to complex terrain.
International
- Château d'Yquem presents the new “Y” 2023 The historic Sauternes house launches an exceptional vintage of its dry white, born in 1959 and now a world icon.
- The Swiss Federal Council's cellar In the Beatrice von Wattenwyl House, 1,200 strictly Swiss bottles are available for official receptions, with limits on cost and quantity.
- Latteria Perenzin triumphs at the Mondial du Fromage. Three medals (gold and two silver) for the historic Venetian dairy at the prestigious Tours competition.
Wine events
- Franciacorta Festival 2025: From hot air balloons to 60-meter dinners and tastings, the Festival celebrates the 35th anniversary of the Franciacorta Consortium and the international success of Brescia's sparkling wines.
- Pane Nostrum returns to Senigallia from September 26th to 28th, celebrating the art of baking, accompanied by DOP wines and cheeses, in a blend of tradition and innovation.
Curiosity
- Fabio Elleri's wine in Formentera The former microchip man brings native Romagna grape varieties to the Spanish island with “Brisa del mar,” a blend of Malvasia and Trebbiano.
- Liquorificio Pacini and Mirto Bianco: A liqueur created within the WWF reserve of Monte Arcosu in Sardinia, amidst biodiversity and manual harvesting.
