QUIDQUID presents a new summary of the main news from the Italian and international wine sector.

Italian Wineries

  • Zonin 1821: the redevelopment plan continues. Expressions of interest have been received for some of the main Italian estates, while the Gambellara headquarters remains excluded from the sale.

Italian Wine and Oenology

  • Sicilian Sparkling Wine Network: a new project is born that connects producers, regions, and wine tourism through Sicilian sparkling wines.
  • Veneto 2026 harvest: harvest brought forward to mid-August. Prosecco confirms strong market performance despite the general slowdown in consumption.

International Scenario

  • Champagne Louis Roederer Vintage 2018: presented is one of the most important interpretations of the Montagne de Reims obtained through around thirty microvinifications.
  • Michelin Guide Wineries: The debut of the Michelin Grape Selection in Burgundy sparks controversy, with wineries rejecting the classification they received.
