ITALIAN WINE AND ITALIAN OENOLOGY
Twenty Italian wines make Wine Spectator's 2025 Top 100 list. Tuscany leads the way, followed by Piedmont, Veneto, and other regions. In the top ten are Barbaresco '21 dei Produttori and Chianti Classico San Lorenzo GS '21 di Castello di Ama.
Gambero Rosso's best Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiores: A 2025 vintage called "among the best of the last thirty years" and more taut, saline, and subtle sparkling wines. Andreola and Bisol1542 are the stars.
Roberto Cipresso is the "Winologist of the Year 2026," an award from the Italian Sommelier Foundation. The focus now is on direct relationships with wine lovers in the Montalcino winery-laboratory and on international projects.

AGRI-FOOD AND MARKETS

EnoCliternia 2025 in Molise: Tastings, technical meetings, and a community vineyard. Governor Roberti will be present.
Pescara Wine Festival: 2025 winners announced: 51 Abruzzo wineries and guests from outside the region will compete in an event that combines wine, territory, and culture.
Passi di Gusto nel Sulcis: hiking, tastings, and show cooking. A format that combines walking, food and wine, and discovery of the mining sites along the Cammino di Santa Barbara.
