Northern Puglia grape market

One week after the start of the surveys, prices have more than doubled in one year. And with a trend that has seen a progressive increase day after day since the market opened.

Generic red grapes listed on the market in Barletta, Northern Puglia, today fetch a price of 0.35-0.36 euros per kilo including VAT, compared to a weekly average of 16 cents in the same period last year.

An increase that brings prices back to 2021 levels, when however the situation of Apulian reds was far from the current one, made up of record stocks and with a request for crisis distillation on the table.

The data is available every day on the Bulk-Grapes platform, by subscription with the Wines and Musts data.
