Wine Events and Fairs

• Fiera dei Vini in Piacenza (November 16-18): exhibition-market with masterclasses and tastings of passito, native, PIWI and sparkling wines. Tickets from €25 (full) and €15 (reduced with agreements).
• AIS Major Event at the Leopolda in Florence (November 16): presentation of the "Vitae 2025" guide with over 20,000 labels, including 135 award-winning Tuscan wines.
• San Martino tastings at the Vogadori Winery (9-10 November): special weekend with tastings at the Vogadori Winery in Negrar.
• New Wine and Oil Festival in Vignanello (8-9 November): events with tastings and curiosities about wine led by experts.
• Harvest Festival in Borgonovo Valtidone (November 9-10): celebration of the Novello Picchio Rosso with workshops, guided tours and tastings. Proceeds go to charity.
• “Le Cantine del Borgo” in Strangolagalli : a successful event that celebrates the village and local traditions with tastings and typical dishes.

Awards and Recognitions

• Best Italian Wine 2024 : According to Wine-Searcher, "Brunello di Montalcino Madonna delle Grazie" by Il Marroneto is the best Italian wine with a score of 95/100 and an average price of $342.
• World's Best Vineyards 2024 : Tenuta Cavalier Pepe ranks 14th as the best Italian winery for wine tourism. Ceretto, Castello Banfi and Tenuta Castelbuono Lunelli are also present in the Top 50.
• Cantina Marqués de Riscal in Spain wins the global ranking of the best wineries for wine tourism experience. The first Italian winery is in 14th place.

Innovations and Markets

• Dealcoholized Wines and Excise Duty : Assodistil supports the introduction of excise duty on dealcoholized wines to avoid tax fraud. The issue continues to be discussed with the Ministry of Agriculture.
• Experiments on No-Alcohol Wines : Growing interest in alcohol-free wines, an emerging category to attract Gen Z and Millennials, presented during the Wine2Wine forum.
• American and Canadian Buyers in Abruzzo : the Consorzio Tutela Vini d'Abruzzo hosts international buyers to promote Abruzzo wines and encourage regional exports.
• New Seedless Grape Varieties : The market for seedless varieties such as Exotic Pearl and Candy Snaps is expanding, with new offerings for consumers.

• Cantine Pellegrino and “La Nave Punica di Marsala” : publication of a new book that tells the story of the recovery of an ancient find, in collaboration with Cantine Pellegrino.
• Villa Sandi and the Guggenheim Intrapresæ Project : on the occasion of its 40th anniversary, Villa Sandi joins the cultural project, strengthening its ties with Venice and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.
• “La Cantina del (Nuovo) Liscio” Podcast : new episode of the podcast with guests such as Carlotta Marchesini and Nicolò Quercia, to explore the roots of liscio in a modern key.
