13/03/2012

The Wine and Health Observatory, created to promote the correct communication of health properties and the conscious consumption of wine, has launched an innovative project: the important hall of the castle of Grinzane Cavour will permanently host an exhibition dedicated to theme "WINE AND HEALTH".

The room illustrates the research works promoted by the National Observatory on Conscious Consumption of Wine with a particular focus on the volume "The truth about wine. Like when because wine is good " , edited by Prof. Attilio Giacosa and Prof.ssa Mariangela Rondanelli, to the Grinzane Charter, official document drawn up at the end of the International Scientific Workshop on 5 and 6 February 2010 and to the Consensus" The Mediterranean diet and cancer prevention: Food and Wine for a Healthy Lifestyle ", organized with the precious collaboration of the European Cancer Prevention Organization (ECP).

The path of the room is made up of three sections:

- GRAPES that illustrate the history, substances and properties of this precious fruit;

- THE WINE with the correlations between this drink and health and finally

- THE TABLE, which illustrates the correct way to taste and drink wine.

The museum hall wants to be a new and effective way to:

1. educate to conscious drinking,

2. to make known the health properties of wine

3. to enhance this wonderful product.
