Ambivalent, in some ways risky, in any way necessary: it is the relationship between container and content in the world of wine , at the center of the round table organized on the occasion of Blend , the wine culture exhibition conceived and created by Bellenda . This year's debate, with the provocative title Where is the wine? , focused on the phenomenon of the wine vessel used in the fermentation and aging phase, which is decisive in defining the identity of a wine and capable of playing an increasingly important role also in product distribution and communication. The food and wine journalist and moderator Antonio Paolini argued this at the opening of the meeting, defining the wine vessel as a uterus called to guard and grow a living material, such as wine. The discussion involved various professional figures, from the manufacturer to the technician to the marketing expert and the distributor. The first intervention was by Elisabetta Foradori , of the Azienda Agricola Foradori in Mezzolombardo (TN), who shared her experience as a producer and the reasons for the choice of the wine jar as a tool to restore all the vitality of the fruit and better the fermentation process. This was followed by the contribution of the winemaker and owner of the Vinidea consulting company Giuliano Boni , who focused on the genesis of the wine jar in terms of needs and functionality, comparing it with other types of containers. Pietro Pellegrini , President of the distribution company Pellegrini SpA, has placed the accent on market fashions, capable of influencing production choices, not always positively. Finally, the food and wine communication consultant and wine marketing teacher Slawka G. Scarso intervened , addressing the theme of the language used in product communication, to be calibrated according to the reference public, preferring comprehensibility to technicalities. " Blend was born from our visceral passion for wine, which we constantly revive through the study and comparison with sensitive and competent producers - declares Umberto Cosmo , co-owner of Bellenda - Wine, as well as the debate around it, is in continuous evolution. Moments like this help the participants to broaden their perspectives on the product and on the national and international dynamics that influence it, to make everyone come out more enriched and intrigued ”. The round table took place on Monday 18 October at the Bellenda headquarters in Carpesica , a hamlet of Vittorio Veneto. The program of Blend , an event dedicated to professionals, has been enriched with captivating food and wine tasting tables , with artisans of wine and food from near and far as protagonists.
