To say it, the "Vino e Giovani" survey presented at Vinitaly on the styles of drinking of young people aged 18 to 35 years.
Young people prefer Brunello di Montalcino and Amarone della Valpolicella and among the bubbles Prosecco is the winner, while Verdicchio is the first of still white wines.
The "Vino e Giovani" survey was promoted by the Marche Institute for the Protection of Wines and conducted by the Marche Polytechnic University, which interviewed a sample of 1,500 young people and has unveiled their tastes.
87 percent of young people under 35 drink wine and do it more willingly during aperitif and dinner. Beer is overcome by wine, which is the favorite alcoholic drink of half of young respondents.
They are careful in the choice of the bottle, with an eye to both the territory of origin and to quality, preferring organic wine.
They do not trust in wine guides very much, and prefer to consult farmers and winemakers, sommeliers and wine bars.
