VITALIANO MACCARIO ELECTED NEW PRESIDENT OF THE BARBERA D'ASTI AND MONFERRATO WINES CONSORTIUM

The Shareholders' Meeting of the Barbera d'Asti and Vini del Monferrato Consortium was held on 29 May 2023 and decreed the election of the new Board of Directors. The councilors, elected for a three-year mandate, under the guidance of the newly elected President Vitaliano Maccario, will represent the Consortium and the enological excellences that characterize Monferrato. A team also made up of the two vice-presidents Lorenzo Giordano and Filippo Mobrici, outgoing president, symbol of the intention to give continuity to the important work carried out up to now by the Consortium and its members. “ The focus of my mandate will be to give continuity to the excellent work carried out up to now by the outgoing President Mobrici. It will be essential to give even more impetus to what has been done in the field of scientific research, on the Barbera and on the vines of the denomination - explains the President Vitaliano Maccario - The same is true for what concerns the front of the promotion of Monferrato and its spearheads, a work that is increasingly being implemented both within national borders and abroad, moving towards a real internationalization of the denomination and of the territory in which excellent wines come to life.
