Vip Prosecco at the Hermitage Museum: “made in Italy” is successful

  • 12/12/2013

Agreement with the director of the Hermitage Museum: Prosecco Doc leaves for Russia.

500,000 bottles of Prosecco in Russia thanks to the agreement signed in St. Petersburg between the director of the Hermitage Museum, Michail Piotrovsky, and the president of the Consortium for the Protection of Prosecco Doc, Stefano Zanette.

Prosecco Doc is projected on an important market, and seals a cultural agreement that elects Prosecco “vin d’honneur” at the famous museum for the next five years.

“It is an important step in the development of relations between Italy and Russia on the cultural front”, Piotrovsky notes, adding a hint of irony: “Other museums have vodka, we only have Prosecco. Wine is part of the culture of an area. Prosecco, which comes from Italy, conveys the perception: wine is culture. We must spread more and more this aspect of wine as an expression of a territory, a people, a culture”.

“I consider this agreement a major operation for the image of Made in Italy, and the effective operation of territorial marketing”, Zanette said, according to which “the projects covered by the Protocol will allow us to launch several initiatives in the field of culture, in its broadest sense”.
